Don't you believe that a lot of personal soul searching and morality goes into each person's personal interpretation of the instructions the judge gives on BRD. Otherwise a nice computer program could make the call.
To: sneakypete
Nope, almost all of them were your basic FR "Bush is the new Messiah" Bush-Bot types. They HAD to claim he was innocent so they could justify having the parents given a death penalty for having sex with others. How the hell do you deduce that Bushbot=Westerfield defender?
LOL!
I'm a Bushbot by your lights and I am NOT a Westerfield defender. Just ask anyone around these parts!
ROFL
To: bvw
Oh geeze, that cretin thing didn't even bother me. As if the source was worth my worry!
To: John Jamieson
"Don't you believe that a lot of personal soul searching and morality goes into each person's personal interpretation of the instructions the judge gives on BRD."
Well as a juror you are not supposed to... You are supposed to approach it logically...
To: marajade
My theory comes from trying to explain the 4 bugsperts and explain the lack of evidence of DW in the vD house.
To: John Jamieson
Have you ever served on a jury as a juror?
To: marajade
I would sincerely hope all the naysayers out there feel pretty silly now that this has come out... But maybe I'm just getting my hopes up...
Yes, I'm afraid you are. They'll never concede. The most you can ever hope for is that they'll fall back on, "yes, well, turns out he's guilty, but Dusek didn't prove it . . . ." baloney.

I think I do.

"They'll never concede."
That really is a crying shame...
To: marajade
Tried 3 times, as soon as I say "engineer" they throw me off. Too logical.
To: bvw
The personal attacks were first and most often from the hang-Westerfield side. That is absolutely, without any gray area, untrue.
You've always been polite to me and I appreciate it, but I cannot read this statement and not state my disagreement with it.
To: John Jamieson
"My theory comes from trying to explain the 4 bugsperts and explain the lack of evidence of DW in the vD house."
Okay, but jurors have come out publicly stating that they discounted it because there too many experts with too many theories so they discounted it.

"But I think that anyone who sits on the side without pointing out the problem is PART of the PROBLEM." I'll add an Amen! to that remark.
Mind you, I tried speaking up for civility several times and got clobbered for that as well.

Well if your posts are indicative of the way you think the state and/or victims were lucky you weren't chosen...
To: John Jamieson
Besides, even the bug experts themselves testified that it unscientific. Are you saying you vote to acquit based upon an expert's own testimony that their own theories weren't scientific?

That is absolutely, without any gray area, untrue.
And cyncooper, let me add an Amen! to your statement as well.

Dusek did his best to confuse the jury and he succeeded, but the bugsperts actual were all in quite good agreement. I studied their testimony very carefully and and even repeated some of their calculations, to better understand them.

"Dusek did his best to confuse the jury and he succeeded ..."
The bug experts themselves stated that their findings were NOT scientific. Are you going to discount DNA evidence that was presented, which is scientific, and vote to acquit based on an experts own finding of it being not scientific?
To: BunnySlippers
"...The Westerfield Fan Club..."I think we must now address these people with more respect. No longer are they merely a fan club, for they have withstood the ultimate test of their faith. All of the jurors and even Westerfield's own attorney agree that he engaged in a "three day weekend of terror." And yet the candles keep burning, the censers keep swinging and the hosannas keep coming in The Temple Of Holy Vindication. They live in the realm of legend and should be accorded their rightful status as The Elders Of The Lost Tribe Of Westerfield.

yes I remember that..the mob mentality took over.
