Harvard Magazine, the official magazine for Harvard University alumni, has published a short screed advocating "abolishing the white race." Written by Noel Ignatiev, a fellow at Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois institute, and founder of the journal Race Traitor, the piece claims that, "every group within white America has at one time or another advanced its particular and narrowly defined interests at the expense of black people as a race."
The introduction to Ignatiev's piece is extremely laudatory, and cites him as one among a number of white writers "engaged in this Herculean task" of "enlighten[ing] white people as to the real benefits and the great cost of their property in whiteness."
That cost, according to Ignatiev, is great indeed. "The goal of abolishing the white race is on its face so desirable that some may find it hard to believe that it could incur any opposition other than from committed white supremacists," he writes. "Of course we expected bewilderment from people who still think of race as biology."
Citing the theories of West Indian marxist C.L.R. James, Ignatiev proclaims, "Ordinary Americans are drawn by the conditions of their lives in two opposite directions, one that mirrors and reproduces the present society of competition and exploitation, and another that points toward a new society based on freely associated activity."
He adds, "We believed that this internal antagonism played itself out as a civil war within the white mind, between the desire of whites to wall themselves off from black Americans and their desire to overcome the boundaries that kept them apart."
The Harvard Magazine piece also serves as a publicity vehicle for Ignatiev's journal Race Traitor. Ignatiev devotes several paragraphs to his decision to found the publication. "Race Traitor was an attempt to run the film backwards, to explore how people who had been brought up as white might become unwhite," Ignatiev states. He describes the publication's purpose as "to chronicle and analyze the making, remaking, and unmaking of whiteness." He notes that Race Traitor's first issue was emblazoned with the motto, "Treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity."
The piece had stirred up vitriol among Harvard alumni and others who believe that the piece is inflammatory and racist, and note that a similar outcry against the 'black race' wouldn't be tolerated for an instant.
"Suppose Frontpagemagazine.com ran a headline 'Abolish the Black Race'?" David Horowitz queried. "What do you think the reaction would be? But at Harvard, where demonizing whites is merely the standard curriculum, an article like this can appear in a glossy magazine whose cover story is 'Whither the Art Museum?'"
Harvard Magazine's executive editor, Christopher Reed, defended Ignatiev's invective. "He's arguing against the mind-set and attitudes that automatically grants privileges to white people," Reed said in a statement. But critics argue that if Ignatiev was truly preaching a message of racial equality and toleration, he would not parse his argument with such violent terminology and speak of "abolishing" an entire race of people.
Ignatiev, who has a long and colorful history as a Marxist activist, and was once arrested on charges of throwing a paint-bomb at a strike-breaker's car, does not plan to give up his call-to-arms anytime soon.
"Race Traitor will not abandon its focus on whiteness, no matter how vehement the pleas and how virtuously oppressed those doing the pleading," he states at the end of the Harvard Magazine piece. "The editors [of Race Traitor] meant it when they replied to a reader, 'Make no mistake about it: we intend to keep bashing the dead white males, and the live ones, and the females too, until the social construct known as 'the white race' is destroyed-not 'deconstructed' but destroyed.'"
No Einstein, no Wright brothers, no Marconi, no Pasteur, no Alexander Graham Bell, no Henry Ford, no Philo Farnsworth.

One near every Ivy League University would be a start.
It's long past time for the ~15% "Caucasians" of the world to learn who they really are and how they relate to each other. Then they should stop fightening each other and work together. That can begin by taking care of the "Zimbabwe situation".
