Say whatever you care to, this guy is a clinton butt boy.
He is just another liberal biased smug punk.
To: Couer de Lion
I keep hoping that this is just a bad nightmare, and once
I'm awake that little creep from the clinton administration,
stephie, would be telling a grand jury how he got a
sweetheart 6 figure loan from Nations Bank for a townhouse
he bought, instead of holding down the anchor at abc's
"This Week" Stephie is damaged goods. He's a little weasel
turncoat and a crook to boot. He should be booted from
abc.

I will continue not watching.

My mom heard Step-on-all-of-us in a news feed back in the Clinton Days.
He said [paraphrasing], People are just a herd of sheep. Dumb and gullible. They've believe anything, just because it's on television.
Everyone was poking at him, trying to hush him up, pointing at the camera. They weren't supposed to be airing anywhere.
When he realised it was on live, he looked shocked. Then he said, Turn it off! Get out of here!
Back then, sad to say, people were very dependent on the Old Three, formerly known as 'Big Three'. Thank God times have changed.

Things aren't nearly as bad as they used to be. Momentum has been on our side. It might not always seem that way. But the thing to watch for is news broadcast ratings. Liberals are using every dirty trick in the book to keep from submerging completely under. Freegards....
To: Couer de Lion
Does anyone know how many people are watching "This Week" these days? I haven't watched it in a long time.
To: Joe Boucher
I hear his daily radio ad. Is he spending all his time talking news? Or is he retreating from news some to get his ratings up?
To: Couer de Lion
ABC News backtracked this morning and announced that the inaugural broadcast of the show with it's new host will be renamed This Week's Spin with George Stephanopoulos.

can you say canceled.........
Can you say Donahue ratings.....
can you say destined to fail big time.....
To: What Is Ain't
How have the ratings been?
If people watch, he will remain. If they don't, he will be canned.

I haven't watched the Brinkley show in at least five years. Sam and Cokie were tolerable, sometimes good. But who on earth still watches that show? And when did ABC give up pretending to be objective? Will they come up with a show for traditional conservative American families to counterbalance this liberal circle-jerk hosted by Boy George?
To: Arthur Wildfire! March
You are right on this score. I think the "guardians
of the gates" (the super cultural 7: "time, newsweak,
abc, cbs, nbc, the NY Times, and the Washington Compost)
are watching their power and influence melt away. This
is why they were so panic stricken about pushing "campaign
finance deform" down the throats of a recalcitrant
public.

Hasn't been a reason to watch This Week since David Brinkley left.
Guess what there still isn't.

Their ads say they will "make news". Says it all.

Peter Jennings vouched for his fairness... Well, that just reinforces existing opinions. People that believe Jennings will watch the show. People that know better, won't.
Another problem with these mergers is that the failed business plans of the media subsidaries are buried.
No one is held responsible. Probably illegal and not allowed in the real world, wasting such an asset.
Just wondering if there were more than 900 FBI files on Republicans.

Waiting for Sam Donaldson to weigh in on this...
(I just love it when the "free media" becomes so transparent in their bias!! Too bad for the staunch, although possibly mis-guided "media pro's"...at least they have some kind of integrity, not to mention real credentials!)

This is the best thing that could happen to us as Republicans, because it insures that as of tomorrow morning, This Week will be completely irrelevant. It'll be as if the show no longer exists. Just watch Russert and Tony Snow and watch both their ratings skyrocket.

They've been touting his show as if he were some kind of superstar. He is nothing more than a weasel.
To: Couer de Lion
The lone anchor? He'll probably be the lone viewer.
