Wesley Fennell of the NAACP may have a valid point, but is addressing it the wrong way. Only the best girls should be picked regardless of color or nationality. The NAACP should be asking the local community to invest in their girls by doing their own clinics for cheerleading.

One might also question whether or not the amount of blacks who are cheerleading should really be an issue to the black community.

Well, the NAACP certainly thinks it is an issue.

My guess would be that if the black community really cared that much about their girls cheerleading at the local schools, this would already be a moot point.
