Alamo Car Rental is showing a purty commercial, with the leaves turning beautimus colors, and encouraging folks to rent a car to watch the leaves turn! That's silly. But we're gonna be doing just that! (So what does that make us?! *G*)
We're leaving a day early (en route to my surgery-place), so we can take the Blue Ridge Parkway from the entrance right before Gatlinburg to where it dumps us out right into Asheville! (Very close to where my best friend Dulcy and her hubby live, actually!) I've been on that exact route during leaf-turning season before, and it is breathtaking!
Just in case you all want to charter a bus and come visit me (HAR! *G*), this is the official website for the most wonderful hospital in the world, aka The House of Pain! (On the pull-down menu, choose Advanced Neurosurgery for more precise info.)
I also ran across another website that features Park Ridge Hospital, and my doc -- Dr. Michael Rosner. It is misleading, in that it touts the surgery as being a cure for CFIDS, which it is not. The surgery is for Arnold-Chiari malformation and/or Spinal Stenosis, both of which mimic CFIDS. Other than that, it's a fair representation of the surgery. (This time, my cerebellar tonsils will be completely removed. I don't know if there is a medical name for that, except -- perhaps -- "ICK?") (*G*) With that caveat, their website is located HERE.
I hope to answer more people tonight, but please know that I am running on "slow" these days! If I am unable to answer everyone personally, it's NOT cuz I don't love ya, because I do! Very much!
whoever -- I had no idea that you had been seriously ill! I know how frustrating it is, and wish you a speedy full recovery!
Time for a rest now, but I shall return!
Mush love,
