Saddam Capone
U.S. News ^ | 9/16/02 | Paul Bedard

Iraq's Saddam Hussein has re-enacted that scene in the Untouchables where Al Capone bashes in the head of a rival. Sources say Hussein recently huddled foes for a tongue-lashing–and afterward shot one in the head. A video of the killing was sent to Arab leaders to show what happens to enemies. Saudi Arabia has briefed the United States on it and plans to cut a copy.

If deposed, what do you expect Saddam's life expectancy will be?

Congratulations! I suppose our multiculturists will say this article shows a failure to realize other cultures' ways of reaching decisions...LOL

And a fine first post it is. Maybe we should send pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to the Arab leaders...

If released to the public, this would be the most important video implicating a politician in a crime since Marion Barry was caught on tape doing drugs with a hooker!

"since Marion Barry was caught on tape doing drugs with a hooker!"

Or since Bob Beckel was caught just doing a hooker!

Let's put it this way. If he's shot without certain . . . . preliminaries, he'll be the luckiest man in the world.

I don't believe Saddam will be taken alive. I think he is more like Hitler, and would take his own life before he'd become a prisoner.
If his own forces turn against him before we get there, I think there is a good chance he'll be taken alive. In that scenario, I'd expect him to be executed within a few short weeks, like Nicolae Ceausescu was in Romania in 1989.

...in a related story, Geraldo recently was embarrassed when he opened one of Saddam Capone's WMD vaults on national television, only to find it contained a couple of empty flasks.

The one I'm waiting for is where he re-enacts the part of Hitler in "The Bunker" and swallows poison as his capital is being reduced to rubble above by invaders.

The time period between his deposal and his death will be measured in nano-seconds.
