I am pretty sure the gov wouldn't come out and declare a nuke was found. I am not sure what they would do. The problem remains that we do not want New Yorkers going vigilante on any and every Muslim they encounter. That is the problem. And the reason we may never know all the facts in this incidences.Very good point. That might well compell them to keep hush hush. And economic concerns as well. Two comments; first, the TWA flight that was shot down from the Long Island water by a shoulder to air heat seeking missile, was covered up in order to reduce public hysteria. Public witnesses identified a rocket like flame going from the water to the sky and then the explosion too place. Second, ABC news reported yesterday on assignment to demonstrate how easy it is to smuggle a nuclear bomb to the US. The reporter went to Turkey, and shipped a small container about three feet by four feet crate that had radioactive source emitting enough radiation as a nuclear bomb would. That thing was never inspected! Our boarders appear to be a sieve for smugglers.
We are like one big guy who irritated his a little neighbor, every time we go to sleep, the little guy walks to our driveway and poison our dog or slash our tires. There is no end to this, either kill that little guy, or negotiate truth? Remember, if you kill the little guy, his kids or brothers would come in and slash our tires as we sleep?
As you can see there is no way out this. It is almost as we were happy dealing with good people, and somehow got entangled with the mob or the gangs. Hence, all the civilized rational behaviors goes out of the window.
