Most people don't have a clue who Daschle is, but your suggestion is a good one for the SD senate race.

Thank you for your post #885, giving the full text of the President's speech. You are a sweetheart!
What this shows is a very responsible man, one who cares about his country and won't go whistling by, ignoring all dangers like x42. Bush is also no Chamberlain, who thought that Hitler could be appeased and just have peaceful thoughts, things will work out for the better somehow.

So did Fox......dropped Daschle that is. I hear his mama dropped him on his head once.
To: Howlin
I think that is worth a thread, don't you! Maybe Rush will see it before the end of his show!

I hear his mama dropped him on his head once. She should have smacked him upside his head instead

I can see picking up 3-4 Senate seats this year. Good analysis...and only the loony far left would appreciate Daschle's comments right now. Let Daschle speak...Dems. will be voting 'R' come Nov..

You and I love to use the word "Irrelevant" to describe the losers in life. The losers here in this country and around the world who still are living in 9/10/2001.
As you noted Arafat was labeled "Irrelevant", and he is basically a few months later "Irrelevant"!
Now these whore$ in the UN have the choice to try and be relevant or to become "Irrelevant"!
The choice is theirs like it was for Arafat, who was trashed rather hard by President Bush this week.

From now on, let's just call him Lesserman!

Did you notice his demeanor when Scott mentioned Iraq? Those eyes got that glinty look. He would not discuss - "this administration's position has not changed, we want a regime change". (paraphrased).
I got the distinct impression that this man will not be diverted - this regime is going to change one way or another.

If Bush presents his case to a televised joint session of Congress, there is no way that Daschle can refuse a debate and vote on Iraq. If he does, he risks coming back after the mid-terms with about 7 fewer Democratic senators. Perhaps this is what Bush needs to do then. Treat them the same way he treated the UN.

Basically, I think everyone in that room was so stunned by the irrelevant word that they didn't hear one single word after that. They were already working out the wording to the final resolution authorizing force. The alternative would be to scan their local newspapers want-ads LOL
I don't remember his name.....but a VERY popular ex-gov. in SD is going to be running against Daschle in 2004.
I plan on contributing heavily to his campaign.
A friend who lives there says that ousting Daschle is VERY VERY doable.

FOFLOL. What justshe said !!!!

Can you believe this.... Peter Jennings just said it was, a speech of great moral clarity, the kind we've come to expect from the president. Okay... which one of you jokers hacked into Jennings' TelePrompter? :-)

Hehehe. I heard that. Loved it.

I thought he was steely eyed through the whole thing. He had that "don't mess with the US" look on through the whole interview. This is a strong, tough man and anyone watching had to recognize that we're really lucky to have his hands holding the reins of power.
