President Bush traveled to the three areas of the country that were hit by terrorist attacks one year ago today. Bush traveled to the Pentagon this morning, Pennsylvania this afternoon, and New York City this evening- where he delivered an address to the nation from Ellis Island. Today is a day for remembering the lives that were lost, and today is a day for honoring the freedom that we will fight and die for. God bless America. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The Bush on 9/11 special was very good. I called the video # 1-800-848-3256 but was told they don't have the rights to sell it. There is a transcript available. She said she was sure they would rerun the special as the response had inundated them! Please write or call so we can get it back on the air. I'll have my VCR set this time.

No, but I wish I would have because I'd like to see it again. It was excellent.

Watching him today with the people, I recalled when then President Reagan comforted the families of the Shuttle disaster. Both of them seemed to have the appearance of a Pastor. Very reassuring for our country.

On a lighter note...I noticed on the last photo on post 37 that President and Mrs. Bush hit their 'marks' perfectly as they are standing in silent tribute this morning.

Thank You rintense, God Bless You!
Today was heart wrenching, so much pain for so many, it's hard not to break down and cry for all those who lost so much, And I can't help but feel sad seeing our great president with such a heavy heart. We are blessed to have him leading us in these times.

April 24, 2002, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My favorite picture because I was actually there!

The second last picture in post 33 is incredible. It's the closeup of President Bush with his cheek touching another person's check. The look on Bush's face shows his love and compassion for his countrymen. President Bush is an extraordinary leader.

A few of my favorites from the past year.

I cried AGAIN when they played that clip, just I did when he pulled out that badge last year. Just as I have been crying the last 15 minutes watching the ABC report on the 63 babies born in the last year with their hero/daddies already in Heaven.
The very first baby to be born was to a Muslim mother. The mother took and passed her driving test- something she probably would not have done before, but something she now had to do. And she said that her husband would have been proud of her. She broke down in tears when the instructor told her she had passed, and I lost it. How wonderful and sad all at the same time.

I watched all the covereage on Fox today until after Shanksville. Then I just couldn't take it any longer. I cried from a little after the time I awoke until I turned the television off. Last year at this time I was numb - in shock. Now I'm just so sad, and righteously angry at those monsters who did this to us. I think I'll make it an early night.

In the CBS special, they showed him arriving back at Camp David after his trip to Ground Zero last year. You could see the physical exhaustion written all over him. The only thing that gets him through all of this is our prayers.

I was doing pretty well, even watching our wonderful President and First Lady comfort the familes, and even while they were showing the names and ages of the people on Flight 93. OK until I saw the name of an eight-year-old girl. When I saw that age, 8, I lost it. Her life cut short, her last memories filled with terror. God rest her dear sweet little soul.
