SEPT. 11 COMPUTER VIRUS ALERT
Company Tech department ^ | 9/11/02 | self

Posted on 09/11/2002 11:09:37 AM PDT by Elkiejg

ALERT - THIS NOTICE WAS RECEIVED FROM MY HUSBAND'S INTERNATIONAL COMPANY'S TECH. DEPARTMENT. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE ABOUT VIRUS ALERTS:

Unfortunately, someone has used the terror attacks of Sept 11, to lure victims of a new email worm.

The subject line will be the following: "All people" and appears to be from "main@world.com."

There is an Sept11.exe attachment. It claims to have pictures as new evidence of the 911 attacks, but there is nothing to see. Please be aware at your home machines, and if you check email outside of Company email (ie, Hotmail, AOL etc),

Don't open the attachement and delete the message.

For your convenience, and to make letter less, all documentary materials (photos and MS Word documents) are located in one EXE file. Open it, and all materials will be installed on your computer.

This bate should catch a lot of fish over at DU.com. LOL

Dang it. The letter said "naked truth" and I thought it was just one of my usual morning JPG downloads...

So should I click and open every email to be fair or should I delete every 11th email just to be safe.

Wouldn't want to appear prejudice.
