Sorry, only Catholics and Jews pray for the dead. They do because of the book of 2 Maccabees. Most Protestants believe the book is apocryphal. Any protestant that prays for the dead is a Catholic in protestant clothing.

Catholics believe that.

Bible-believing Christians DO NOT believe that the dead can be saved if they die without accepting Jesus as their personal Saviour, and we DO NOT believe in "purgatory".

I urge you to speak for CATHOLICS ONLY when posting such bald faced lies as you have just done.
