What the heck is going on in AZ? Udall is 3rd, behind 2 people I've never heard of. Duval is in 5th with 5%. This with 43% in.

Secondly, you people are wearing out the term RINO so much that it's losing its meaning. So very true.
Looks like the earlier post of ACU ratings indicates Sununu is a pretty solid conservative.
To: Commander8
I agree Bob Smith was a good man.
We will miss his pro-gun stance in the Senate.
To: rightwing2
You might be right about Smith/Sununu but you are wrong about Barr's loss to fellow COnservative John Linder.
Linder is certainly no RINO, and the only reason that Barr doesn't have a job in Congress come November is because the Dem GA legislature redistricted, and Bob Barr chose to move into the district where Linder already represented 70% of the people and challenge him.
If he had stayed put, Bob Barr would have won as well. John Linder is going to represent us just fine.

I think this could be interesting. It might be fun to see someone from Crossfire get elected.

Once again Robert Novak shows his uncanny ability to pick a loser. The "Prince of Darkness" should turn in his cloak for a clown suit.

"...someone from Crossfire...elected"?
Do you mean the elder John Sununu who
worked for Bush I after being gov. of
NH? You need to know, the winner here
is THE SON of that man. So Crossfire
has nothing to do with this.
To: txrangerette
Damn...maybe Bill Press will run for office one day.
Thanks for correcting me.

Lott did a disgraceful job in trying to kill Clinton's impeachment trial
What unmitigated blather. I believe Lott voted for all the articles.
To: marajade
You are so right, don't vote and turn it over to the demoflops, prehaps some would like to see this happen. If you can't get the whole pie you want, take half of it and keep on trucking.
To: leadhead
And this is good because....?
Its good because he's not your girl Tom Dashle.
To: txrangerette
I congratulate Mr. Sununu. If a 94%
Conservative rating gets someone the
"RINO" label, then I give up. Let's
all give up(NOT). Wait, here's the
best idea: SMASH Shaheen, puhleeeze!
To: RCW2001
Now, the question is, will the Smith backers show the integrity and moral backbone of their man and step up to the plate to support the Republican candidate for the Senate?
If they can channel their enthusiasm and patriotism towards that goal, our "Bill Clinton In Drag", Jean Shaheen, will be regulated to the dustbin of history.
To: RCW2001
Good news. Smith always seemed to go with which way the wind was blowing at the time. One more step to taking back the Senate.

Look, if you feel so strongly about this, show the balls to move up here to New Hampshire, join the economy and work for your "pure conservative goals". But don't sit on your fat ass in Virginia and pontificate about how we are going to hell.
You haven't a clue about things up here. Your ilk up here, who sat on their petulant butts last election and didn't support Gordon Humphrey gave the Governor's seat to Bill Clinton In Drag. You are advocating the same thing and that is morally and politically reprehensible.
REMFs like you sure do talk up a good fight when you are safely away from the front lines.
To: Japedo
"And if we Do win the Senate and it's full of all Leftist Rino's Then what?"Then we will hunt you down and kill you...stoning your woman and children before your eyes before we do you in!
There, is that enough of a conspiracy theory for your pathetic little mind? Go change your tinfoil hat, nitwit and decide if you are going to fight, or just turn your vote over to Bill Clinton In Drag!
To: VA Advogado
Sorry, but your theories are out to lunch. Moderates have all the spine of wet noodles. That is why the RATS Always crush them. They, in contrast, have spines of steel. Brains of communist mush, but spines of steel. I frankly don't see the prospect of a return of 'Trent Lott' to majority leader as any victory whatsoever. It was his 'leadership' that cost us the Senate majority in the first place. He is a complete nincompoop.
To: rightwing2
Don't bet on it. Sununu has his work cut out for him. I think a lot of Smith supporters were really turned off by Sununu's negative smear attacks against their candidate and are going to sit out this Senate race. Frankly, I don't blame them. Then I guess what you're saying is that Smith's supporters are neither conservative nor patriotic since their sitting this election out could well hand over the senate to Daschle and Hillary. Perhaps that's what they want. Perhaps they really LIKE having good conservative judges smeared and destroyed by Leahy and his crew.
What a shame, I always thought the good people of New Hampshire put their country first.
