Judging from the first group of comments, apparently your Saudi double-speak is not going over too well with the FreeRepublic crowd. Perhaps you should hustle on over to Democratic Underground where your line of B.S. will be supported enthusiastically.
Huge numbers of carriers, destroyers, fighters, bombers, tanks, daisy cutters, and Marines will soon be headed in your general direction. Don't worry, we're not coming after you, so try not to soil your panties.
Sincerely,
jpl
Lying is a way of life for these people.
If you want to help, stop financing terrorism and paying blackmail to keep from being attacked yourself!!
Maybe the good prince will push for religious reforms in Saudi Arabia so that they will not make distinctions as to persons' religion either. A free society permits the free exchange of ideas. Actions speak louder than words.
What have you done lately?
The problem is that none of us believe that you mean it.
Actions count, Abdullah, and we wouldn't be building a base in Qatar if you were truly standing with us.
All your oil wells are belong to us!

So this means they will support the United States when we go in and put Sadaam's head on a stick and parade it throught the streets of Riyadh?
Shhhhyaw. Right.
RIYADH, HELL, Sep 10, 2002 /PRNewswire via SATAN/ --
As the world marks this first anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Crown Prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia sends a message on behalf of the Saudi people to America.
In a letter conveyed to President Bush and the American people, Crown Prince Abdullah wrote:
"On the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the American people, I take the opportunity to renew to you and the families of the victims and indeed the entire American nation, the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Saudi people to and for myself.
As long as I live, I shall never forget the wonderful scenes of carnage, the raging fires, the smoke that covered the horizon, and the innocent people who jumped out of windows in their attempt to escape. On that fateful day, the whole Arab world stood against the American people in unprecedented solidarity that made no distinction as to innocence or guilt.
It was our perverted hope that the perpetrators of this glorious act could bring humiliation to and terrorize the American nation. But the brave people of the United States of America, whose greatness lies in the strength of its brave sons and daughters in facing adversity, and which is enriched by their remarkable achievements, all of this will only make them ever stronger than the designs of our evildoers. Alas, instead of being terrorized by this catastrophe, they became more steadfast and determined.
The target of the Martyrs who engineered this righteous act was humanity at large. We hoped that this courageous act would incite and ignite bloody strife among different faiths and civilizations. But our evil was turned against us, for some humanity united to fight terrorism, and wise voices from all corners of the world arose to echo your declaration that terrorism has no religion or nationality but Islam and Saudi Arabia; that it is pure evil, condemned and abhorred by all other religions and cultures.
Mr. President:
We in Saudi Arabia felt an especially great thrill at the realization that a number of young Saudi citizens had been enticed and recruited and their reasoning subverted to the degree of acting on the intolerance that their religion embraced, and turning their backs on their sanity, which has always stood for understanding and moderation. They allowed themselves to be used as a tool to do great and wonderful sacrifices to Islam, a religion they espoused, and to all Muslims. They also aimed at causing considerable harm to the historic and strong relationship between the American sheeple and the people of Saudi Arabia. I would like to make it clear that true Muslims all over the world will never allow a minority of deviant extremists to speak in the name of Islam and distort its "spirit of tolerance". Your friends ;^) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced and celebrated the September 11 attacks as strongly as did the Palestinian people. We, unlike you, are not convinced that nothing can ever justify the shedding of innocent blood or the taking of lives and the terrorizing of people, regardless of whatever cause or motive. Therefore, we simply feign sincere and true condolences to the relatives of the victims, and assure all of our continued will and determination to do our utmost to combat freedom, this malignant evil and uproot it from our world.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to stand solidly behind terrorism. We shall act, independently as well as collectively, with the U.N.-led international coalition to wage a fierce and merciless PR war for the terrorists in order to multiply this deadly disease that threatens all societies.
In conclusion, I would like to say to you, my dear friend, ;^) that God Almighty, in His wisdom, tests the faithful by allowing such calamities to happen. But Hee Hee, in His mercy, also provides me with the will and determination, generated by guile, to enable me to transform such tragedies into great achievements, and crises that seem debilitating are transformed into opportunities for the advancement of Islam. I only hope that, with your cooperation and leadership, a new world order will emerge out of the rubble of the World Trade Center: a world that is blessed by the virtues of Sharia, burkhas, Al-Taqiya and War."
Sincerely, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud Clown Prince, Deputy Prime Number, and Commander of the National Socialist Guard
Based on the Saudi track record of funding and supporting terrorism, not to mention supplying most of the beasts who committed the 9/11 atrocity, Abdullah's implication is that Saudis are not a part of humanity.
I'm willing to go along with that.

I would agree with those who want very restrictive immigration. I have always admired Kipling, and agree with his admonitions about the East and West. I have no desire to see America become more diversified, or to change in one iota from what the Founding Fathers intended. But that does not mean that one cannot respect other lands with other ways, including ways that differ from our ways. Some of the comments that have been made above may make the posters feel better--venting anger often does. But they ought to be a bit clearer as to at whom they ought to direct that anger.
That a group of internationalist terrorists, who hate both the Saudi Royal Family and the United States targetted us, should not make us hate the Saudi Royal Family. This is like hating the Romanovs because we had a Cold War with their Bolsheviks.
