CBS' Scott Pelley isn't the first person to observe that in a world of grays, President Bush sees mainly black and white. But Pelley says there are aspects about Bush's personality that might surprise some people during the president's only TV interview this Sept. 11 anniversary week -- on 60 Minutes II Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Great more tears. Sorry but I want anger ...

From the above article:

''There are times in the interview where he is pounding the desk, he's so angry,'' Pelley said Monday

In times like this, people look to the president for someone with strength and self-control. I don't know that tears and desk-pounding are the message that most of us want or need right now.

Compare the speeches of Churchill or Roosevelt in WW2 with those of Hitler. The allied leaders were in control all the time and both calmed the people of their countries, but also made them resolute. Hitler would scream and pound the lecturn, making a raw emotional appeal.

Unlike Clinton, Bush is basically a good man. I'm glad he's our prez and not Gore.

Just having Pelley do this interview is part of the spin. Pelley clearly detests Bush. He interviewed him before the election and was so rude that Bush had to stop him, saying, "You're in my house now." In other words, you have no right to be rude, you jerk!

Pelley wears a perpetual sneer...audience will be influenced by that, he hopes. I also think he is a Nancy Boy, but cannot swear to it. His attitudes and affectations look seriously gay to moi. Which, in this case, means only that Pelley has something of the drama queen about him and is pretty good at adding an intense emotional spin without even trying. It's a pretty good bet that he'lldo everything he can to make Bush look bad.

>>>He will learn what IS truly is.<<<

Clinton is not capable of learning - he is preoccupied with himself; narcisstic beyond belief. He wouldn't understand Bush's qualities because he can't fathom someone having them and calling them an asset.

You would MAYBE have a point if President Bush had comported himself this past year as a lectern pounding, out-of-control lunatic.

He has not.

This is an interview.

A little perspective, please.

Wasn't that a GREAT interview? I watched, just waiting for her to slam Bush, but she NEVER did. I thought she was highly complimentary, didn't you?

I tried to summarize it here

PUNCH

Can you add anything?

"Viewers are going to see a man who has a great deal more range of emotion than he betrays in public.''
Freakin media WHORES, they NEVER give him a chance to show what a GREAT COMPASSIONATED guy he is! The MEDIA WHORES have intentionally boycott anything that shows W emotions showing, especially with children and the elderly!

President Bush IS what clinton can never be. And clinton knows it.

Is it still possible to get elected to high office in this feminized culture without having to cry your way into it? Guess he's just not the strong silent type.

I actually heard FDR and Churchill make angry speeches and they were as adamant and outspoken as Bush!
