Well, somebody has to ask this, so it may as well be me.

How long do you think it will be before somebody on the Left points back to this and claims that it was an attempt by Bush and Ashcroft to scare people and push the war agenda back into the forefront in order to accelerate the debate in Congress?

Who and when? I guess we'll start hearing rumblings along these lines as soon as 9/12.

The libertarians are already doing that for them. While accusing Bush of being one-worlder as though Clinton's Third Way movement doesn't even exist.
