Perhaps it is all timing - I hope that W., Rummy and the rest use the rekindled scenes of September 11 on tv tomorrow and go after the bad guys in a BIG way right after this. People are forgetting the horror. It is time to remember and turn it into cold fury and action.

Good timing for the elections too!

Yes, we should be enraged, but half of us aren't, and the world is not behind us. We need to be attacked one more time.

Sadly, I agree. We need to be attacked again, possibly tomorrow, to get everyone's blood boiling and convert anyone "riding the fence" to the appropriate cause of action. It's sad, but America has to be worked into a frenzy and I'm afraid that work will come at a cost of human life. The communist-media has done an excellent job buliding it's flock of pacifist, mindless-sheeples.

Well, I thought we were in the action stage... what is Afghanistan all about? Isn't that action? What is Iraq all about? Isn't that action? Just because you don't see the all out effort just yet, does that mean there isn't action? No, I'm not out screaming hatred... I am supporting our president and trusting him to be moving on terrorism just like he said would. He asked us to go about our lives and let the powers that be handle the situation. I don't feel defeated as a nation... I feel like people have done what they can to make sure this horrific terrorist attack did not ruin us... as it easily could have.

We are hearing a "not enough anger" mantra. And I really don't know what that means to all of you. Its like people jump on this bandwagon without any real thought. Just what are we supposed to be doing?

Tomorrow is the 1st anniversary of one of the worst days in our history. Am I going to go about it as if it were just another day? Absolutely not... I don't even go about my own birthday as just another day... so why should I trivialize this one? Because it is a day of remembrance? I'm going to remember every detail I can about this day... so I can rejoice in the streets when the zealots start to fall. I can have patience...

I've been angry ever since 9/11. Actually, it isn't anger...it's a sharply focused and EXTREMELY cold feeling that I get whenever I think about those murdering psychopaths. All I want to do is shoot them down and rid us of their evil.

I don't mind seeing images of 9/11. It keeps me focused. What memorials does he mean? We haven't built any memorials to 9/11. Or does he mean televised memorial services?

I don't think anybody on this thread said that the administration is doing nothing to win this war. I don't know where you got that. However, we are lamenting the fact that the media, liberal politicians and people dumb enough to listen to them are losing focus.

Additionaly, some of us are saying that CONSTANT 9/11 tributes have just gotten out of hand. I have grieved and now am ready to put my full energies behind our administration's effort to combat this war. Enough of this wish-washy, namby-pamby "let's all get along crap" that is bubling up within our society. I firmly believe all these feel-good ceremonies have gone overboard. I think about the people we lost on 9/11 every single day, but I don't need a bunch of constant memorials to remind me.

Did you know that most TV networks are only going to show those planes smashing into the buildings ONCE tomorrow? Why is this? I think I know....it's because they all just want to get along. They don't want to stir up any hatred towards our attackers. Like I said earlier, to many in the media and certain sheeple, memorializing 9/11 has become a type of religious activity which has nothing to do with the real attack/murders. Frankly, I don't know what to make of it.

All I know is that tomorrow I will remember those departed souls in my own way. I WILL NEVER FORGET.

REMEMBER WHO DANCED ON 9-11

Just about my favorite poster caption following 9-11.
It was from a rally showing support for Israel; I saw the photo of the poster
here at freerepublic.com.

Just about as good as "Remember The Alamo" or "Remember Pearl Harbor".

"But if we get outraged, we might have to do something about it and someone could get hurt and the markets might not like it, it might hurt the environment, and Nelson Mandela would speak out against us and we'd lose the support of the progressive nations of the world and kids might make fun of moslems and it might interfere with Monday Night Football"

We ARE doing something about it. We're pretty much finished in Afghanistan; no matter how many times Muslims see him, IMO Usama has assumed room temperature; Saddam is on the way out, and the stage is set for the removal of Yasser, whom I'm sure will have to be killed to leave office, but it's vital his own people take him out.

I don't want to grieve. The anger overwhelms the grief.
TO hell with all these grief counselors, healing gatherings and rememberances.

Let's stay mad......

My hope is that Bush announces to the UN on Thursday that the US flew 200+ sorties against Iraq in the past 24 hours.

I'm sincerely curious. What was the country doing, collectively, on December 7th, 1942?

I will not aknowledge the day as anything other than September 11th, 2002. The only aniversary I celebrate is my wedding aniversary with my wife. The rest is tripe.

I have no TV and listen to no more news radio. Virtually all my information is "pull." I won't be pulling anything on this. It is my way of saying, to the terrorists, I'm ignoring it, other than to have as much resolve, September 11th, as I do EVERY DAY to do my best to fight Islam everywhere.

Whenever I am scrutinized entering a courthouse or federal building or airport line, I always say the same thing: "Do I look Muslim to you?" It gets remarks, suggesting I am bigoted. That is where I point out that verbally attacking Islam in this country at this point in history is EXACTLY like attacking the Nazi party and followers in the early 40's.

We are at war with a belief system as opposed to a particular country. When I hear people say Islam is a religion of peace, I am willing to stand up and declare, figuritively speaking, that THE EMPOROR HAS NO CLOTHES - Not just on September 11th, but EVERY SINGLE DAY AND AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

Not sure, but I can guarantee that they weren't watching 24 hour news networks.

I'm gonna do exactly what Rush has suggested....go to work and continue my normal routine.

I likely will do the same but I'd really like to ride over to Detroit to muslim town to see how Americans muslims will celebrate tomorrow...Be interesting to get a few pics of the average muslim on the street jumping up and down in glee as they did on the last 9/11...

For people who lost loved ones on 9-11 & those who were burned & injured, even those who witnessed the horror standing helplessly on the street, 1 year is bare minimum for mourning.

As for myself I have had enough mourning, shock & sadness, I'm MAD.

"That attack on 9/11 should make us angry..."

I wholly agree with what you're saying. Not enough people have seen those pictures of the people jumping from the 2 N.Y. Towers.I've E-Mailed those pictures to people who have kept their 'blinders on'.It makes me sick (to this day) that American Citizens had to choose to jump out a window, rather than burn to death, because of the peaceful religion that is Islam.<====Dripping Sarcasm)I'm still bitter and I have no problem profiling people on a regular basis either.

"Unfortunately, the US will not get serious about defeating terrorism until a lot more Americans are slaughtered by Muslim lunatics. In 1941 an attack created justifiable outrage. In 2001, an attack created more professional victims to moan and demand government hand-outs."

Wow! Bears reapeating...
