Things you won't read about in the New York Times.
By the way, the habit of killing off men and enslaving women is strictly Muslim, going back to the time of Muhammed himself. It hardly corresponds with the reality of U.S. actions in Afghanistan. But it seems as if the the bigger the lie, the more easily it is swallowed, not only by bigoted Palestinian Muslims but by bigoted liberal Americans.

One of the chapters in the booklet is dedicated to the alleged physical similarities between bin Laden and Moses. Both are described as being tall, dark, and having an aquiline noseWow! What a coincidence! Bin Laden is now in a group of about 25 million Arabs that look like Moses.

"And we leveled to the ground the great work and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected [such pride]." Riiiight. Ramses II built the hypostyle temple at Karnak which remains to this day one of the most impressive architectural structures in the world. It's stood for 3200 years. And the speaker here has long since become an unmemorable banquet for worms.

The Palestinians are still celebrating the downfall of America? Its good to know for whom President Bush wants to set up a Palestinian state and for one I hope they never get it.

The symbol of Iraq is the golden eagle; wonder what he has to say about that? It was also Rome's. And the Nazis, and Mexico's... eagles of the land. But the symbol of the US is the bald eagle, the white-headed sea eagle or in latin,
Haliaeetus leucocephalus... a totally different bird. He's wrong on the Pharaoh, his symbol was the falcon and the cobra, one for the northern kingdom and the other for the southern, I believe.
Bet we could really freak him out if he saw the Darpa logo or some other logos in use... ; )

Like Moses, bin Laden is said to use a stick to lean on while walkingMore like they picked up what was left of him with a stick.

>>He claims he was also astonished to discover that the picture of the pyramids is printed on US dollar bills. Moreover, the symbol of Egypt's pharaoh was the eagle, "which is the same symbol of the pharaoh of America and the White House. And anyone who visited Washington knows that the White House keeps a pharaoh obelisk in one of its gardens."

The booklet wasn't written by Lyndon Larouche was it?
Remember when there was a fair number of them on FR? I kind of liked'm. They were so left field, they weren't even on the field. They were across the streed in the back of the woods, over by the river. Those madcaps!

Well, I can tell you I got a chill when I happened to listen to this song soon after 9/11...
PRIDE OF MAN
Turn around,
go back down,
back the way you came,
Can't you see that flash of fire--ten times brighter than the day?
And behold a mighty city broken in the dust again--
Oh God, Pride of Man, broken in the dust again.
Turn around,
go back down,
back the way you came,
Babylon is laid to waste, Egypt's buried in her shame,
The mighty men are all beaten down, their kings are fallen in the ways,
Oh God, Pride of Man, broken in the dust again.
Turn around,
go back down,
back the way you came,
Terror is on every side, lo our leaders are dismayed.
For those who place their faith in fire,
their faith in fire shall be repayed,
Oh God, Pride of Man, broken in the dust again.
Turn around,
go back down,
back the way you came,
And shout a warning unto the nations that the sword of God is raised.
Yes, Babylon, that mighty city, rich in treasures, wide in fame,
Oh God, Pride of Man, broken in the dust again.
And it shall cause your tower to fall, make of you a pyre of flame,
Oh you who dwell on many waters, rich in treasures, wide in fame--
You bow unto your...your God of gold, your pride of might shall be ashamed...
For only God can lead His people back unto the Earth again.
Oh God, Pride of Man, broken in the dust again.
Thy Holy mountain be restored..,
have mercy on thy people, thy people, Lord....

Abu Arafeh says that by examining Pharaoh's description in these verses, one is shocked at the similarities between him and the US, especially after what the Americans did in Afghanistan. It's amazing to me how out one side of their mouths they can claim peace and equality for all Muslims, women are respected not oppressed or abused etc, Islam doesn't teach violence, blah blah blah, and at the same time they condemn what we did in Afghanistan, which was free an entire starving society from brutal Islamic oppression. Which is it, guys? Never mind, we already know.
