Sept. 7 Seeking to build a case Saturday that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction, President Bush cited a satellite photograph and a report by the U.N. atomic energy agency as evidence of Iraqs impending rearmament. But in response to a report by NBC News, a senior administration official acknowledged Saturday night that the U.N. report drew no such conclusion, and a spokesman for the U.N. agency said the photograph had been misinterpreted.

Shootin' the messenger is not out of style.
I'd not want to be the spokesgoat, either. ;)
Hey, it works for me. The Constitution does, too.
Get a Declaration of War if the situation is really
that serious regarding Iraq, and let's roll!
THEY LIED
ATOMIC SCIENCE COMMISSION: IRAQ 6 MONTHS AWAY FROM HAVING NUCLEAR WEAPON!
FYI, I'm ONE of "our guys", and it's been MORE than enough for me and my collegues. I love it when all you "concerned citizens" presume to care so much about us, when you DON"T want something done. We were defunded for almost ten years, left with old, broken equipment and less training than we needed, and precious few people made a peep.
Somehow, I doubt that ANYTHING would be a good enough reason for you. Guess we won't get your approval, sigh.
Go back and look at the pictures. You need to. THINK for a while.

Why always assume the worst?
It is clear to me that the President is making up reasons to invade another nation...
They have not been able to find Oma ...so lets wipe out a nation.....lets spill American blood all over the mid east...Lets shut down Americas oil supply this winter...
I am no dove but GWB just wants to clean up the mess his dad left..
Lets find oma..lets track down the ones that ARE the immediate enemy...Lets take our base out of Saudi Araba...
Q: Mr. President, can you tell us what conclusive evidence of any nuclear -- new evidence you have of nuclear weapons capabilities of Saddam Hussein?
THE PRESIDENT:
We just heard the Prime Minister talk about the new report.[#1] I would remind you that when the inspectors first went into Iraq and were denied -- finally denied access,[#2-older rpt] a report came out of the IAEA that they were six months away from developing a weapon. I don't know what more evidence we need.
PRIME MINISTER BLAIR:
Absolutely right. And what we -- what we know....
Much ado about nothing! The president is talking about 2 DIFFERENT REPORTS! For those of you on this thread who are "trying" to make the case that President Bush lied - NOT TRUE and how very UNCHRISTIAN of you to make such an insinuation without knowing all of the facts and the intent.SHAME ON YOU!
Which country has a standing army... Iraq or Saudia Arabia ?
Well, crouching, but Iraq.
Which country used chemical weapons on their own countrymen ... Iraq or Saudia Arabia ?
Iraq, that would be.
Which country invaded two neighboring countries.... Iraq or Saudia Arabia ?
That would be Iraq, if I'm not mistaken.
Which country lobbed scud missiles toward Israel during the Gulf War.... Iraq or Saudia Arabia ?
I'm guessing Iraq, here.
Which country has been trying to secure the components to make weapons of mass destruction ... Iraq or Saudia Arabia ?
Everybody?
I'm no fan of the Saudis either but they're pretty impotent when compared to Saddam.
In a war of terror, military impotence is not necessarily a crippling thing.
The 15 Saudis who brought 9/11 to us show what asymmetrical warfare is going to be like.
The Presidnet has the evidence he needs and in this case he does't need the approval of congress to strike.
What evidence does he have that Iraq is preparing to attack the US?
And, as the man said, Israel is perfectly capable of taking out her own trash.
That is EXACTLY what Bin-hiding/dead said.
Would you have said that IF it was Clinton?
