"why?" Fer ol' times' sake, my FRiend...a bunch of the ol'-timers chimed in on that one as I recall, and it would give some of the Newbies and not-so-Newbies a flavor fer the folks who helped this Forum grow to what it has become.

6. I really do find it alarming that AAABest keeps posting these picture-perfect JPGs of various gas valves and furnaces and the combatants simply dance around them, indifferent to the beauty of ordinary things. bump

Pompous-ass'd physicists...SHEEEEESH!!Guess I just blew it, then. So instead of ingratiating myself with an easy "Cowboys suck", I might as well say, Go Eagles!
E! A! G! L! E! S! EAGLES!
To: Physicist
"Go Eagles!" IMHO, it's gonna come down to either Philly or the Skins fer the NFC East...and I like our chances of puttin' a hurtin' on Mr. McNabb like he ain't never seen!!
But I do have Duece (sp?) Staley on my FFL team, so "Go Deuce (sp?) Go!!"

You get in their faces and sing my songs? I didn't know. Thanks.
To: Mudboy Slim
Thanks for pinging me.
To: Physicist
Indeed. Eschoir had serious mental problems.

It was the Goofus and Gallant reference, wasn't it?
Nope, I got that one! That was a good one!!
To: Physicist
I got 4 and 7. I didn't know about 6 and 8. Thanks for filling me in! Physicists rule.
To: Mudboy Slim
Anything we want (including annotations) is allowed. All rules are flexible. Except let's decide before 1 p.m. Redskins kick-off, OK? :)
To: tomkat
Thanks for #62. You're a sweetie!

Oooops...wonder if annotation of entries will be allowed...LOL!!
Mud, don't you recall, it's bribes that you're taking until the last minute. Oh, and so to Physicists being pedantic, that's what makes them so cute and endearing. I love physicists, he had a total inside track by virute of his freep name, but alas for me I did not have a total inside track on the gossip here. (Although some, like Eschoir, were pretty self-explanatory.) So I do appreciate the annotations.
Well, had to go to Church. We sang My Country 'Tis of Thee. Sniff. These are all such patriotic entries. Sniff.
It's almost 12:30 p.m. and in my head I'm still not sure even which list to advocate for. I think I'll try to think through it publicly in this list in a post that shall follow.
To: Mudboy Slim
For me, it's between timesink and dubyagee. paulklenck has some absolutely flashes of brilliance, but a couple of throw-aways too. Although he's the only one with a really really good number one in the three finalists, so I hate to say goodbye to him.
But as I reread and reread them, I think it's between timesink and dubyagee. What do you think? Um, and at the risk of exploring the depths of my ignorance publicly, what's this cheese reference that keeps showing up?
To: All
Timesink v. dubyagee. I go back and read them and it's really close. When I first read Timesink's, I thought: THIS IS IT!! Starts strong at 10 and doesn't let up. But dubyagee has some fundamental truths of Freep tied up in his/her answers, and they're shorter.
I dunno. What do the rest of you think?
To: Mudboy Slim
Oh, and Mudboy, you gotta post your list here. The people are entitled to know the quality (or lack thereof) of their judges. :0
To: tomkat
Which do you like better? Timesink or dubyagee's 1091?
