Every state in this great country has its difficulties and challenges. To say Californians have no brains is an ignorant post. Please consider that Jim Robinson, owner of this board, is from California, along with millions of conservatives striving for what's right. We're here to fight hard.

Assuming you're from Ohio...or Arkansas...or Tennessee...I'm sure I could come up with some real doozies of comments about your fine state. Ahem.

Yes, I'm a homeschooler. And no, California is not going to stop me (us) from schooling at home. Delaine Eastin is a Tempest in the Teapot. Obviously you know nothing of what's going on in this state with regard to home education.

Have a nice day.

Lighten up, lady. I, too, live in California. It was a JOKE!! Sheez! We may as well laugh at ourselves. Everybody else laughs at us. If I felt compelled to answer every criticism directed at CA, I’d not have time to do anything else. After all, when the heartland thinks of CA, they think of Charlie Manson, Rodney King and San Francisco's funding sex change operations for state employees.

But, contrary to popular opinion, Californians do not have more net disposable income than the rest of the nation. Actually, our per capita net disposable income trails most of the nation. Gross income may be higher, but cost of living significantly exceeds Mainstream USA. Automobile insurance, health insurance, housing (the median price of a house in CA is $300,000, and the houses aren’t that good), taxes, gasoline (50% higher than elsewhere), etc., are significantly higher, sometimes double, the rest of the nation. Plus, after the dot com bust, even our gross income dropped considerably.

You say you’re not worried about the home school furor? I have friends who home school here in CA who disagree. The state supported socialist educators are an extremely powerful lobby. CA, like no place else I’ve seen, is influenced by $$. For every child home-schooled, the oligarchists lose substantial funds. In as much as our state legislators do exactly as they please with no regard for any group other than perverts, illegals and the
rich, my guess (and, I might be wrong) is that home-schooling days are numbered.

Finally, do you “habla espanol?” You’d better. For better or worse, English speaking Anglos are soon to be a minority. Who knows, maybe God is tired of the cesspool of the liberal white establishment that pollutes CA.

Anyway, lighten up. :)

P.S. My pseudonym indicates I have some affinity with Indiana, not Ohio. As in, Indiana “Hoosiers.” Get it? Where’d you go to school anyway, California? ;)
