We all noticed the extraordinary surge in the use of 'diverse' and 'diversity' in public speech.
Popular as they are, these are not words used by people during their 'normal' conversations with friends and family. Following a trend observed in communist societies, we are witnessing a phenomenon the communist dissidents were calling 'the wooden tongue' - a language using 'special' words and concepts to express ideas that no one would care to express under normal circumstances but which would be essential concepts and 'burning issues' whenever one would speak in an artificial and controlled 'public' setting meant to educate (read brainwash) the masses.
Since idiotic words or concepts such as 'diversity' are here to stay and are coming out of the wooden mouths of public people of all officially mainstream political creeds at a machine-gun rate, I thought that it would be good if we could incorporate 'diverstiy' in our day-to-day speech so that the wooden tongue wouldn't sound so dead when spoken by reporters, politicians or 'human resource' idiots and/or monkeys.
Here's my challenge: incorporate 'diverse' and/or 'diversity' in normal phrases as many times as possible. For example:
"I owe money to diverse lenders."
"I enjoy the diverse colors of leaves during the Fall season."
"I used to date diverse girls while in high school.
"It's the diversity of veggies in the salad that makes it so delicious."
I dare not ask...
How about...
There are diverse ways to skin a cat.
Should we do another thread on ICLUSIVE?
Oooops!!!! Was that (Self)-Hate speech toward one suffering of finger-dislexya??
So a an "inclusive group" would be one that is openly shows its acceptance to lesbian, gay and transgendered individuals.
Another code word is "judgmental" which means not mentioning evil or deviate behavior or basically never putting someone down unless they are a conservative.
