That said, I have to point out that as long as we have a legal system as complex as we do, we have to have judges that know the law.

I disagree. We need judges with common sense, knowing right from wrong.

The leftist/marxist infested Democrat Party has controlled all or most of our government for what? Sixty, seventy, eighty years or more of the last hundred?

And is it any wonder, considering how we conservatives tend to belly up to the buffet when one of our own is the main course? ; * )

I like her, too. A lot. I'll still be with her, but not FR. At least until I convince her that FR's still worth the aggrivation.

The Libertarians, Reformers, and other third parties know they cannot win national races. They do a great job writing, debating, and fighting for our constitutional rights, but they are not effective enough to win races. God bless them, they do not have and never will have the numbers necessary to win.

That's right.

But the radical Right Wing Reformers of all stripes do great sevice in keeping the conservative movement on track and on task.

It is not disloyal to the cause to point out when a Republican president agrees to fund the very programs that are sucking the life out of the Republic.

Department of Education record budget pops to mind.

But, I take your point. I swallowed my spit and helped put Tennessee in the Bush tally. Swore that was my last "wasted vote."

Off 9/11, it was the best vote I have ever cast.

If you care to wonder why the better half isn't here, that's it.

Kidding, right?

"But what I am after for the coming years is to elect as many Republicans as possible, especially conservative Republicans, and to give them an opportunity to overcome and out vote the liberals and moderates of both parties."

Every poster here should echo this sentiment!

"Thus, as I see it, the best course of action to right these wrongs is to continue removing the liberals, socialists and leftists from our government as fast as we can. Eliminating the liberal influence automatically raises the level of conservatism in our government and its institutions"

Bravo!

I have been avoiding the threads populated by the newest crop of those who are disillusioned. I am 100% committed to this site, and I could not care less if those who aren't leave.

The fringe conservative movement has always had more representation here than their numbers show in at the polls. Maybe the folks who are attracted to it need a place to vent because they're hyper to begin with, I dunno.

But defeating Democrats is what it's all about, and I'm not going to be bullied about my support for our President. I supported him from the before the start when he was Governor of Texas and hopefully I helped convince others to support him, too.

He has not let me down. Governing this country takes some deft manuevering. I don't always agree with his decisions, but he has to deal with political reality. The trick is to get the voters to give you a working majority so that you can accomplish your agenda.

One can only imagine what we'd be talking about today if Gore had been elected.

"We need judges with common sense, knowing right from wrong. "

Damn straight. That's why the best I've known aren't lawyers.

HOWEVER!

We have to eliminate the byzantine mess of laws we have first. Get rid of the lawyers in Congress first.

Thumbs up to both of you.

We either sit around and gripe or we do the very best we can. I opt for the latter.
