Their local police are against legalization.

Perhaps a job security issue?

In addition, making pot legal would clear the way for our police to tackle other, more harmful crimes relating to the public good. Really, would you rather see a pot smoker or a child molester behind bars?

Never thought I'd say it: Common sense in Canada. Could this happen the in US? I hope so.

"It's time to legalize pot"

And also tax the h*ll out of it. Say about $2 a toke. On top of the retail price.

Legalize pot??? This guy has to be freaking kidding! That would destroy the price. It would put so many producers, importers and dealers out of business. What a freaking stupid idea!!

Canada should legalize marijuana use by adults, a Senate committee recommended Wednesday.

Sounds good to me.
Let the druggies emigrate to Canada and overburden THEIR socialized health-care system.
Just gotta put tighter controls on both our boders to keep 'em out once they're gone.

Let's get Saddam first before we start debating anything else.

If we don't get Saddam, and soon, then all other debates are meaningless. America may no longer be here.

This is ridiculous. It's clear to any honest person that teh ONLY reason the forces-that-be want pot legalized is so they can smoke it recreationally. This was NEVER about medical marijuana - that was merely a smokescreen (like that pun?)

Why do we need ANOTHER drug to pollute our minds? If you cant enjoy life without mind-altering drugs, then you're sure not living right!
