This is a real example of a subliminal message. I don't think it is subliminal at all! It's right out there for everyone to see! Now some folks may 'read' it differently than others, but there's no hiding what the author believes and wants US to believe!

I just sent this to them via
email...
Would you kindly explain the meaning of this caption on one of your photos...
Recovery and debris removal work continues at the site of the World Trade Center known as "ground zero" in New York, March 25, 2002. Human rights around the world have been a casualty of the U.S. "war on terror" since September 11. REUTERS/Peter Morgan |
How does one conclude from looking at this photo that Human rights around the world have been a casualty of the U.S. "war on terror"?

Sounds to me like Peter Morgan and Reuters might be supporters of terrorists.

Morgan's just a photographer who works NYC for Reuters. Some sleezebag editor wrote the caption.

To put this caption anywhere is Islaminazi propaganda. To put it under this particular photo is to moon Americans up close and personal in the process.

What a gaping wound Ground Zero isWas there many times pre 9/11 and then last month for the first time post 9/11. Given the perspective of previous visits and the pictures in the media after 9/11, I was surprised at the actual appearance of the site in actual perspective. I was expecting it to look larger for some reason. I think the almost overwhelming impact on my psychic is more influenced by memories and images I've seen in the media rather than viewing the site itself although that was certainly sad also.

What did Brit say? I am amazingly glad he mentioned it at all (it's gonna piss off tons of people), but what did he say about it? Was he angry, contemptuous, sarcastic, withering, what?
To: hellinahandcart
What did Brit say?
He had just done 20 seconds or so on the Washington Post's false characterization of James Baker's op-ed, and then used that as a segue to bring up the Reuters piece. There wasn't really a comment, other than leading into the bit by saying something like "From the people who banned the word terrorist in their newsroom..."
