I challenge anyone who has worked in a nuclear plant to sit through 'The China Syndrome'. [BTW, The China Syndrome was the first movie that came to mind when I saw the thread title.]

Blazing Saddles, but seriously, do you think there will ever be a movie like that again? I can't name any really PC movies. We don't go to the movies much and if it's PC and on tv I turn it off or change it.
To: Burkeman1
We don't go often but a group of us went to take our daughters to see the "Princess Diary".
Glorified divorce, glorified self-centeredness, glorified disrespect for adults.
Although I didn't want to walk the 8 mile walk back, it would have been worth it. Spent the next few weeks de-liberaling my 6 year old daughter.
Disney Sucks. MAJOR. They have come a long way (in the wrong direction).

You are wrong on that score. In the Japanese interment camps there were groups that had to be seperated because of their loyaties. Their was a Japanese spy ring in the United states as there was a German spy ring and to a lessor extent an Italian one as well. There was an enormous Russian spy ring. That doesn't condone the internment of entire peoples like it did but it certainly should require more scrutiney than that of other groups.

Hah! And I remember one reviewer describing Pocahontas' strapless deerskin garb as being by "Frederick's of Chippewa"!
To: Brandon
For extra credit, you might explain to us why German Americansand Italian Americans were not also rounded up and interred.Because they weren't dead yet. Do I get an 'A'?
Main Entry: in.ter
Pronunciation: in-'t&r
Function: transitive verb
Etymology: Middle English enteren, from Middle French enterrer, from
(assumed) Vulgar Latin interrare, from in- + Latin terra earth -- more at
TERRACE
Date: 14th century
Inflected Form(s): in.terred; in.ter.ring
: to deposit (a dead body) in the earth or in a tomb

A piece of garbage with Ron Silver (as soon as you see him, look out) called Arrival. It's about the US hurtling towards a brutal world filled with "greenhouse gas" and aliens coming to earth to speed it up so they can live there. Piece of crap.

For those of you who are turned-off by all of these Politically Correct monstrosities, I suggest renting a comedy called 'PCU'. It lampoons every PC movement you can think of. Great for campy, funny, and accurate depictions of PC stupidity at its finest.

"Postman" with Kevin Costner. It was about a post-apocalyptic America when people had nothing to believe in. Yet, the movie's authors acknowledged that people need to believe. So, they chose to believe in the mail.
Man is incurably religious. We were created that way by God. That is one of the many evidences of God.
Yet the pc crowd does not want to affirm God. But they do know man needs to believe.
So, to be pc, they created this piece of drivel.

"Dances With Wolves" gets my vote. It not only trashed the military (typical) but American settlers and citizenry as well. I've never made it thru the movie yet.
