Since when does a confirmed lefty (hard-line socialist, perhaps even commie) suddenly become so concerned about the subversion of the Bill of Rights? Where is his outrage about the attacks on the 2d amendment that have been occurring over the past few years. Where was he when the Weavers were attacked in Idaho and babies were burned in Waco. Methinks this smacks a little of political opportunism more than a true regard for the Bill of Rights. Your words ring hollow comrade.

Nat Hentoff became “suddenly so concerned” about the Bill of Rights about fifty or more years ago.

I guess you haven’t been reading.

Turley and Hentoff are liberals, but they are two of the few to whom I listen--with respect. I may not agree with them, but unlike their liberal colleagues, these men actually think. And stick their necks out to the wrath of their liberal colleagues. Hentoff is pro-life and Turley argued against Clinton during the mess he caused while in office.

Better educate yourself before popping off. Hentoff called for Clinton's impeachment and removal for crimes against the Constitution, including but not limited to the ones you've cited (the Weaver case started under George Bush the Elder; however, the coverup continued under the 'Toon).
