Congratulations, Alamo-Girl. You certainly deserve recognition and kudos from all of us for your tireless work throughout the years.

I was part of the group delivering the Downside Legacy books to each Senator. The white notebooks were huge and had a personalized cover page inserted on the front of the binder -- only 1,000 pages -- well each one was an armful. We loaded them up on luggage carts and took them into the Senate buildings. They had to be put through the x-ray machine before we could deliver them. Each book was delivered personally by one of the volunteer FReepers. It was quite an undertaking. I just helped to deliver the books because I work in the DC area and was able to take time off; others in the group were responsible for all the copying, compiling and underwriting the expense involved. Some of those FReepers are no longer posting on Free Republic, but they and the other volunteers deserve kudos all over again for their tremendous efforts.
