"Some people are saying they're not going to vote," said Archer, a computer programmer who voted for McKinney and is mad at the Democratic leadership. "They didn't help her and they knew she was in trouble."What a great idea! This is such a good idea, I think they ought to expand it nation-wide. George W. Bush stole the election from the rightfully elected Algore and Democrats here's your big opportunity to show your displeasure. This November, boycott the election. Do it for Algore, do it for yourself, do it for the good of the country. Don't be afraid to show your anger.

51-47-2 is the worst case, assuming Chafee bolts after the electionChafee won't bolt unless the Senate is tied. To bolt to the minority side doesn't make much sense...What can Dasshole offer?

well, we should've almost expected it. Given how, ahem, bright you have to be to support McKinney.

Yup. Go back to 1992 when certain GOPers decided to take their protest to Ross Perot. GREAT STRATEGY!! Bush raised my taxes so I'm gonna let the zipper be Prez. So there!

The news still isn't that good. They're only going to boycott one of their votes. ;-)

If I was a McKinney supporter, I would be so mad.....!
Why, I would go out and vote Republican. That would teach 'em but good, yessiree.

I hope that McKinney voters stay home, but I know all to well that the DNC will show up in her neighborhood with walking around money for the community leaders who will tell the sheeple to go to the polls.

51-47-2 is the worst case, assuming Chafee bolts after the election. Chaffee would not bolt if his defection would still leave the Republicans with a majority. I would be more worried about McCain leaving the Republican party before his term is up. McCain seems to be less and less rational each month.
To: hchutch
I don't think Chaffee will bolt unless they need her to.

McCain seems to be less and less rational each month. I'm also worried about Bob Smith bolting the party (again) should he loose the primary.

These poor fools are no different from the "conservative" doofs who voted for Perot to send a message to the RNC and gave us the clintons. I wish them success in their efforts to boycott.

I'd like to see McKinney do as rumored and run for President on the Green Party ticket...
ABC News now projects Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney has won DeKalb county Georgia...Of course, the STATE went to George W. Bush, but at least McKinney wasn't completely skunked across the board.

Let's just say that in the McKinney camp, from the top branches to to the grass roots beneath, the lack of political savvy doesn't fall far from the tree!
