I suppose it depends on the definition of globalization.
If you mean globalization in terms of moving towards a consolidated world government, then obviously it should be opposed.
If you are talking about globalization meaning the spread of capitalism and free markets to areas in the world where they don't exist, then it should be supported.
Since these leftists are opposing the entire idea of capitalism, and protesting America as being representative of all that is wrong in the world, they deserve to be counter protested.
This doesn't sound like the DC Chapter is organizing a rally for the IMF. It sounds like a protest against radical leftists.
What is wrong with that?

That's it in a nutshell. Thanks.

Thanks for that post. I'm a newbie to the DC Chapter and shouldn't presume to speak for the whole group, but that sure seems like my motivation. We're not just anti-though. We have lots of signs in support of our troops so maybe the liberal media has to cover more than just the anti-war stuff they're putting out. I would say that's right, but some of our signs were positive too. I had one that said, "Join Our Democracy." 'Cause a lot of these guys will tell you straight out, they don't like democracy.
They are, in the words of Jimmy V's bro, "useful idiots." I do recall he kept loudly informing them of their status as such last September.

I disagree. Free trade is the worst thing that ever happened to this country. The state of the ecomony and debt proves me correct.
