As a fellow New Yorker I know that you will understand this....whenever I'm driving and I am coming up to one of those spots where the next turn in the road would have given me a view of the Trade Center I find myself unable to look. I actually turn away. It's like looking at an old video of the family and coming to the part where the member on screen is no longer among us. It hits me, and my wife, like a gut punch still.
