I'm given to understand that the Leon County District Court is to hand down a ruling today on Hill's petition that Katherine Harris be thrown off the ballot.
Would any Sarasota or Tallahassee Freepers be so kind as to give us the birdseye lowdown on the decision, if any, today, and when it might come down? Harris' race is crucial to helping maintain control of the House and, in addition, would provide a measure of revenge against the Democrats who attempted to destroy her person.
Thank you in advance for any assistance in this regard.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

i just sent the following to sht:
The Herald Tribune disappointed me yet again this weekend. One would think if a newspaper were to swing a certain way it would at least follow the ideals held by the majority in the area. If you want to raise your subscription revenue you can stop calling houses while we are si tting down with our family to spend quality time and start reporting reality instead of false analysis. When those in the future want to know what the people of southwest Florida felt they would read an inaccurate account of history through the Herald Tribune.
I was so angered by your "recommendation" for the Republican primary for Congress, District 13 that I avoided your paper's website all weekend. I am not even going to get into how you glowingly reported on the wonderful liberal candidates like Ms. Schneider who has only recently registered as a voter in the area, McKenzie who appears to be a Jesse Jackson lackey, and Candice who just doesn't have the depth, but trashed the Republicans. Regardless, I started Monday off with checking to see what the letters to the editor consisted of this weekend. I am once again dismayed at the representation you have chosen for your paper. Many of my friends send me copies of letters they send you, but oddly enough these conservative viewpoints never make it to print.
History for this region will not properly be told if our local papers tell it. The last thing I would expect is for the newspaper to actually take on the conservative slant that most of the readers in this area have, but if they would choose to be a little less obvious in their liberal bias it would make it harder for me to prove my point. However, instead I open my browser to the letters and find anti-Christian arguments, and people disagreeing with our war on terrorism. Though these are the only arguments I found in the paper, this is not what the American people think in general.
On Tuesday Katherine Harris is going to win this primary, because she is the better candidate. In November Katherine will win the general election, as will Jeb. Sometime in the near future we will change the leadership in Iraq to ensure the security of Americans and the rest of the world. In 2004 George W Bush will be reelected, because he is one of the greatest presidents of our generation. Future historians will be misled as to how a culture rampant with liberalism managed to vote conservative so often. Unfortunately no one will publish the papers that record the lack of correlation between reality and the mainstream media.

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!!
Since SH*T probably won't print your fabulous letter....I'm willing to chip in for an ad with your letter since that may be the only way to get our point of view in print!
Anyone else willing?
To: JulieRNR21
I'll chip in. How much $$$ are we lookin' at?
To: Joe Brower

i got in an email war with wendy dial since i sent in the last letter i got published so i am prolly kaput anyhow... ;) Yeah, I've recently been involved in just that very thing myself.
maybe one of the other papers i sent it to will publish it for spite, but they are all owned by the same people anyhow right?
Yes, Unfortunately. All the same people with a Marxist agenda.

I've never gotten a response from the people. TICKS ME OFF!
That piece can be summed up in this phrase "We don't like you anymore." NASTY!
I'm thinking of getting another name to write emails on.

If it's any consolation, we see Sarasota commercials up here in Tampa Bay. My mom said she was going to vote for Katherine Harris tomorrow. Of course we can't but her commercials are so appealing and real.
Wish we could vote for her. I think calling your paper the SHT is appropriate. LOL
To: floriduh voter
My mom said she was going to vote for Katherine Harris tomorrow.
Thank God, like up my way nobody's mentioned the election at ALL outside politics.
To: katherineisgreat; JulieRNR21; NautiNurse; Joe Brower
But she can't vote for Katherine H. because we're in Tampa Bay. But, my point was that Katherine's commercial was very convincing. I told Mom we would use my sample ballot and I would help her with the touch screen. Wish we could vote for KH. Vote for Charlie Crist for AG. He's thinking about protecting our ports and the others are thinking about attacking Charlie Crist. I hate mean Republicans.
Dem Maddox wants to stop telemarketers. I'd rather have Charlie Crist stopping terrorists. There's a big difference.
JUST BUY AN ANSWERING MACHINE, to avoid telemarketers. Gee Whiz! It's 2002. Who doesn't have an answering machine?
To: floriduh voter
Charlie Crist is a good guy.
Those cabinet meetings online, i think he presented the athelete scholar things.
To: floriduh voter
But she can't vote for Katherine H. because we're in Tampa Bayaaaaahhhh...I live on the other end of Tampa Bay, and Katherine is on my ballot. My phone has been ringing off the wall for the past week -- including at least four political calls Sunday! gotta love election year!
To: JulieRNR21
I'll pitch in for putting the letter into an ad.
To: katherineisgreat; PhiKapMom
I vote for people with new ideas who think outside of the standard box. He's conservative in his viewpoints but he's creative in his approach. The new Republicans are conservative and creative. The libs don't know how to handle the new Republicans. Go, Charlie!
To: katherineisgreat
I'll bump your thread to the top if you'll give me a recent Katherine Harris jpeg in my Jeb Bush September Photo Pit Stop when you've got a minute.
Here I go. BTTT.
