I wonder about the White House sometimes. This is basic. Im sure they know about this, and the links to OK city, and WTC 93, and several other incidents. But they just sit there and try to look compassionate and bend over in front of Tom Daschle. Let's see some blood!

The RNC, run by 'what's-his-name' (I don't see or hear the guy enough to know his name by heart yet!) and the non-leader of the republican senate Trent Lott are pitifull and useless!
I have returned two request for donations with nasty letters stating no more funding still somebody grows a pair and starts supporting the President!

This is a very important post....and one that deserves not only the Whitehouse's but our attention
But I still wish someone would quantify where the 20 million listener thing comes from. When asked directly, Premiere who puts out Rush's show.....gets very vague as to how that number is derived and often says that they believe at "one time" that may have been a total weekly cumulative number. C'mon folks, we need facts.
but the most important thing is we need to know more about this school.

My opinion is... We are reaping the fruits of the Clinton years. The economy, terrorists, degrading public morals, and the list goes on. Rush Limbaugh used to say that Clinton would not be able the do too much damage and after he is out of office we'll need to clean up after him. Well, he was right about one thing... we are having to clean up... but as to the damage done, it ain't over yet.
This White House has had to rebuild the military. And I believe they knew from the beginning that they would have to go after Sadam. But there was no way they could go after both OSB and Sadam simultaneously, so they took the rout of least drag on the military to take care of one part of the equation while scurrying to build up resources, including intelligence, to go after the other. All the while playing this game of "not everybody being on the same page" to stall for time.
Ya, Clinton didn't destroy America in 8 short years, but the damage done is not yet complete. It may take several more years for all his undoing to surface.

PBS Frontline's "Gunning for Saddam" did a good job on the Salman Pak. It has been shown as a rerun also.

Good post. I did not see the justification for a new attack, but this strong evidence has caused me to reconsider...

I know the first victim in war is truth, but the fact is the facility in Salman Park is used for Counter-Terrorism training by the Iraqi secret police.
Saddam HATES radical islam, the idea that Saddam would invite islamic terrorists to Iraq for training is about as laughable as Ariel Sharon inviting Yassir Arafat over for Sunday dinner.
The only Islamic terrorists who have been to Salman Park were their for their execution.
The America people as a whole are stupid, they will believe ANYTHING the government tells them, but the rest of the world isn't buying the Iraq terroism story.

I guess my question is, why do we assume that the White House doesn't know about this school, and isn't informing others who need to be in the know of it's existense? Sure the Dims are saying that a case needs to be made against Iraq. Why? Well if you believe the polls, it's to cast doubt in the minds of the American people, and it's to undermine the President. They are trying to have it both ways, and they're succeeding to a small extent- for now. One recent poll suggested that 43% of Americans approve, and 43% appose an attack on Iraq before the end of the year.
I personally believe that the White House knows just a little bit more than Rush and/or Newsmax, and that they do actually inform the people who need to know when the time is necessary.
I trust that President Bush is jumping at the chance to remove Hussein from power, if not for the simple fact that, as someone posted, he tried to have his father killed. That'd do it for me. But as we all have learned so well, timing is everything. Patience.

Thanks ovrtaxt for posting this.
The US has got to do something sooner rather than later about Iraq supplying WMD and terror training to ALQaeda, Taliban, Islamic Jihad,Hamas,Etc.
FACT: Sadam Hussein obtained a biological agent in the US via Ishan BArbouti in the late 1980s for poisoning US water supplies. A number of ALqaeda types have been arrested in the US (July 2002) and ME types from Florida have been observed (OKC, Aug 2002) preparing for strikes against municipal water supplies. Our innocents, women and children are at great risk from Sadam giving his chemical and biological poisons to Alqaeda types and training them how to use them in the US.
Bush's speech on Septmeber 11 2002 should be pivotal. Bill Krystol(sp?) of the Weekly Standard is predicting on Fox News, that Bush will take the gloves off and make the case in a series of speches in September. Cheney made four strong speches in August for doing someting about Iarq. Now it will be Bush's turn to turn up the heat, release evidence and make compelling arguments , and the final decsion to stop Sadam Hussein and Iraq.
We should all pray that Bush does the right thing, the right way and soon for the country. Calls to the WHite House and prayers in churches will help on this decision. Gods' will be done. We must pray for God's wisdom. We must turn to God in a time like this (really at all times).
I ask God in the name of His Son Jesus CHrist to save our country and to give our leaders divine wisdom to do God's will.

I have another news flash for the Bush Administration:
Iraq is responsible for the anthrax mailings.

The country's biological weapons programme is believed to have started in 1974 at Salman Pak in the al-Hazan Ibn al-Hathem Institute, where Dr Taha arrived in 1980.
Five years later, Salman Pak was taken over by the Technical Research Centre and, in 1987, Dr Taha moved her team into the new al-Hakem facility at Salman Pak, where construction of facilities for production of anthrax began, among other agents.
At the time of the Gulf war, Iraq later acknowledged the large-scale production of anthrax spores and to have filled 50 bombs and five missile warheads with anthrax.
However, even in its "full, final and complete declaration" regarding its BW programme, submitted in September 1997, Baghdad continued to present the UN weapons inspectors with a false picture.
Iraq approached Porton Down in Britain for the Ames strain of the anthrax bacterium, said Dr Spertzel. "That [request] was fortunately denied," he said.
Iraq obtained much of its anthrax supply from the American Type Culture Collection. Between 1985 and 1989, it obtained at least 21 strains of anthrax from ATCC and about 15 other class III pathogens, the bacteria that pose an extreme risk to human health.
One strain had a British military pedigree and three of the other strains were listed as coming from the American military's biological warfare programme.

With Rush talking about Salman Pak today and the clear Iraq- Al Qaida linkage there, I thought I'd give this a bump.

"We know that at Salman Pak, on the southern edge of Baghdad, five different eyewitnesses - three Iraqi defectors and two American U.N. inspectors - have said - and now there are aerial photographs to show it - a Boeing 707 that was used for training of hijackers, including non-Iraqi hijackers trained very secretly to take over airplanes with knives."Finally, a potential Material Link between Hussein and 9-11.
I've been profoundly ambivalent about this proposed War for fourteen months, now. This is the FIRST report which I have read, in that entire time, which has actually contributed to the War-Monger case (the reputed "Czech intelligence report" boiled down to "Mohammed Atta and someone who might have been associated with Iraqi intelligence might have had lunch together". Even if true, that's just too insubstantial... it doesn't constitue "aid and comfort" even, let alone Harboring and training and equipping).
- "Saddam invaded his own neighbors, Iran and Kuwait"... not a valid argument for War under Christian Just War theory (and never was). Iran and Kuwait are not US States, therefore I do not have the right to send someone else's son to die on their behalf.
- "Saddam might develop Weapons of Mass Destruction"... not a valid argument for War under Christian Just War theory. The fact that you and your neighbor don't get along, and he might buy a gun tomorrow, does not actually make shooting him today a Jesus-like Moral Action.
- "Saddam gassed his own citizens, etc!!" Morally atrocious, certainly. However, Iraq's citizens are not US citizens any more than Iranian or Kuwaitis are... not a valid argument for War under Christian Just War theory.
- The Iraqi Salman Pak terrorist training camp may very well have been the "dress rehearsal" grounds for Al-Qaeda "skyjacker" training.
Oh. Well, in THAT case, we would have nearly the SAME moral justification as we (rightfully) enjoyed against the Taliban.
It appears we have our first contender for a LEGITIMATE "Just War" Argument.
Interesting stuff. Wonder what Bush HQ will do with it.
(As popular support -- even his own dad -- turns skeptical towards his War, Bush can scarcely afford to just sit on stuff like this).
