I watched PrimeTime last night on ABC where Diane Sawyer interviewed the various widows of men killed at the WTC who had babies since the attack. It was a well-done program; very touching and sad because these children are not going to grow up with their fathers.
Something struck me that was missing from the program...not ONE woman mentioned any anger they felt at the terrorists for what they did to their families. Again, this may have been conveyed by some of the women and edited out for PC purposes - we don't want to offend the terroists you know! This ran on one of the networks after all. Did anyone else notice this? I would be interested to find out if anyone else also made this observation.
I know I'm still angry about the attacks of 9/11. I've noticed a general reduction in anger at what was done to our country almost a year ago. I know over time this can happen because of human nature being what it is, but while it's good to mourn those who have been lost, a little righteous anger at the rotten S.O.B.'s that did this still seems appropriate to me.
This was just an observation I made watching PrimeTime last evening. I am new to FreeRepublic. I registered yesterday after being a lurker for quite awhile so be patient with me as I am new to posting on this site.
SOOO true.
btw...your little girls are lovely!!!
That is a truly stupid statement.
You believe that this loss was some sort of a 'good thing' for these women? That the money they received from people touched by the tragedy will fix everything and the fact that they are financially secure trumps their loss? You believe that? Really. You're a piece of work.
