I knew it was you before I got to your name. You write some of the nicest posts, Dave.

And that picture of that little fisherman and his little buddy is just TOO sweet!

It's not planned, honest! But I notice it so often - I get to a point and have to leave, and when I get back, it's SO OFTEN JUST BEFORE YOUR POST!

The Upper Sacramento River is one of those special places for Fly Fishers in the early part of the season and in October.

In October, there is this very large fly, the October Caddis that emerges from the water (fish try to eat it then) or comes back to lay its eggs (fish go ballistic then). In the last 30 minutes of light, you can catch and release a whole lot of beautiful trout with PHD's in how not to be caught. However, they act like liberals trying to get our tax $'s during this time period, so if you know what you are doing, you can have an incredible time.

Crater Lake is incredible.

If anyone is up in that area after Labor Day, tour and go around the lake during the day. Before you do that, make dinner reservations in the lodge so that you will be seated about 30 minutes before sunset.

Then one of you faces the lake and one faces to the West for the sunset. Then you keep each other posted on what to see. You will have a sore neck the next day, but you will see sunset colors and views that can only be seen from that lodge.

The service is incredible and so is the food. After Labor Day most tourists are gone, so every guest is someone special at dinner.

Dinner at Crater Lake Lodge at sunset after Labor Day is one of our favorite places.

Thanks Amy!

If the Watermelon Enviros who hate most Americans get their way, there would be no farmers or ranchers raising the food that we feed our families with.

Does anyone want to stand in line at the Club Sierra Recycled Food or Soylent Green food outline for your families daily ration of this stuff?

If they had their way, there would be no farmers nor ranchers. If there are no farmers or ranchers, who will raise the food that we and our families need.

This Watermelon goal of removing farmers and ranchers has been labeled by the Wall Street Journal as Rural Cleansing.

Amy understands this, and we need to wake up about 200 million more Americans about this harsh reality!

Thanks to the incredible Madfly, the poster and pinger for those of us who fight the envirals.

Last weekend, I was Grampa starting on Friday. So I couldn't start the Oregon Still Burning Threads. So MadFly living in Arizona stepped in and did a great job.

Again, this can only happen on Jim Robinson's great invention for conservatives, Free Republic.

Thanks MadFly for your tireless work.

Re those killer words, if you could see some of the freep mail that I get from phoney conservatives who are really Green Jihadists, you would know that those words have an impact on them. The Green Jihadists can be successful as long as they control the media and what is said about them.

They don't control us, and we are starting to have an big impact going back to Jeff Head's and others who helped to prevent the Rural Cleansing of the Klamath Basin of over close to 1500 farm and ranch families. They were taking away their irrigation water so supposedly save a bottom sucking Short Nosed Sucker Fish. It didn't work!

Aunt B got the word out. Jeff Head and others got involved and for the first time the Watermelon Rural Cleansing were stopped. I really feel if it wasn't for these two and so many other great Freepers, most of those farm and ranch families would have been rurally cleansed.

This is a wonderful way to get to know our fellow FReepers.

It really is - I think we are all learning a lot about others we've seen on threads......this gives us a chance to see something besides the screen name. :)

Glad you had a safe trip. We/I still haven't made reservations for our annual fall migration to the beauties of SW Oregon, thanks to the fires.
