DOVER, N.H. (AP) Police arrested nine current and former McIntosh College students on drug charges Tuesday, as the city police chief said he was pushing federal prosecutors to seize a college dorm under federal drug forfeiture laws.

''It is an open-air drug market like we've never seen in the city,'' Chief William Fenniman said of the dormitory at 181 Silver St., where most of the suspects lived. ''My idea is ... to stop the building from being used for illicit activity. Whatever it takes to do that, I'm willing to do.''

The chief has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Why is he phrasing this like it's some act of valor?

I have completed the transition. This WOD is insane and has to stop, if only to save our Republic.

My hat's off to you, 1_American. It takes courage to admit you were wrong---and even more courage to let yourself realize it in the first place.

Too much fiction.

Either point out any item that is factually incorrect, or retract your statement. You wouldn't want people to consider you to be DISHONEST, would you VA?

In every one of those made up stories, the perps got what they deserve.

Are you saying that all of the innocent victims of government violence "deserved it"?

  1. Do you also feel that Hitler was justified in exterminating Jewish men, women, and children?
  2. Do you also feel that Stalin was justified in his atrocities against mankind?
  3. Do you feel that the WTC victims deserved what they got too?

Did this "perp" get what he deserved in your book VA?

Andre Burgess (shot, not killed, for holding candy bar)

A federal undercover agent working on a "High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force" in Queens, NY, shot a local high school student when he mistook a candy bar in the youth's hand for a gun. 17 year-old Andre Burgess, captain of the Hillcrest High School soccer team, was walking down 138th street in Laurelton, Queens, when the carload of Federal agents rolled by and one officer, identified by the New York Daily News as William Cannon, jumped out.

Cannon apparently identified himself, but, according to Burgess, gave the teen no time to react. "I turned to see what was up, and boom, I'm hit, and I fell to the ground." Burgess also described the callousness with which the incident was handled even after it was discovered that he had been unarmed and apparently wholly uninvolved in any criminal activity.

"I'm laying there, bleeding, waiting to go the hospital, and he's shaking hands with the other cops, or agents, or whatever they were," he said. "He asked one of them, 'Don't I know you from some other case?' And I'm still lying there."

DRCNet Executive Director David Borden commented, "The incident is reminiscent of the Esequiel Hernandez killing in Redford, Texas, by U.S. Marines. In neither case did the aggressors provide appropriate medical assistance to their victims. Fortunately, Burgess was not fatally wounded. But then, this is only the one incident out of many that happened to get some press."

My God ... what a sick and demented thing to say. I suppose the Modesto child deserved it to. IMHO you are a very ill person in desperate need of a good pyschiatrist and/or a long vacation at the local sanitarium. You exhibit the EXACT behavior that violent drug users are accused of and IMHO are only a hairs breath away from climbing a high tower with a high powered rifle. I sincerly hope you are NOT in ANY position of authority or influence over anyone else.

Robert Adams

On October 4, 2000, 61 year old John Adams of Lebanon, Tennessee was gunned down by police raiding the wrong house looking for drugs. He was watching tv when armed men burst through the door. His wife Loraine Adams, who said that the armed invaders did not identify themselves as police until after the shooting, was handcuffed and thrown onto her knees in a different room while her husband bled to death. Police Chief Billy Weeks said that the shooting was not the fault of the two officers who shot Grandpa Adams, Officers Kyle Shedran and Greg Day. The raid was blamed on false information from a police informant.

Maybe these "perps' deserved what they got too, right VA?

Pat Eymer (unarmed, shot while holding 5 year old daughter, survived)

On 10-23-98 at approximately 7:30am in Sallisaw, OK. a drug raid took place and a private residence was swarmed by a team of police to "serve" a drug related arrest warrant. Inside this residence was a 13 year old teenage girl, a 5 year old little girl, a 4 month old infant, their Mother, Dad and another couple that had stopped by for a cup of coffee on their way to a fishing trip.

Armed agents poured in screaming and waving guns at people. The mother reached for her 5 year old to keep her from running in terror and as she held her frightened daughter her shoulder was blown off by one of the trained terrorists! NO FIREARMS were in the house and the mother was in the kitchen several feet away from the armed and dangerous men. The 13 year old passed out at the sight of seeing her mother shot down in her own home and the 5 year old went into total hysteria (remind you of Ruby Ridge?).

Casey Eymer, age 5
Being held by mother when
police shot off mom's shoulder

One of the agents was reported to have asked "who fired?" at which time there was a period of silence while they looked at one another. The mother, Pat Eymer, is at this time in the Sparks hospital in Ft Smith, AR. The dad, Steve Eymer is still in jail as well as the couple that thought they were going to go fishing, the children are in the care of the state while the grandmother who came in from out of state to get the children is not allowed to even see them until there is a court hearing on 10-26-98.

Now, whether Mr Eymer is guilty or not is not an issue with me, what bothers me are the goofy, stupid, dangerous, cruel, idiotic, irresponsible, unamerican, and cowardly tactics used by these agencies to "serve" arrest/search warrants. If these so called "men" are so scared of being hurt, they need to get out of the business and let people with common sense and decency tend to these matters. If this was an isolated incident, a huge law suit and public apology may serve for justice but this is becoming a regular pattern in this country for the past several years now. Talk about CHILD ABUSE!

I don't know how many inches away from the head of this 5 year old little girl that bullet passed in order to blow the shoulder off of this dangerous unarmed mother, but if it was in the same house, it was too close. This was the act of a coward robot which could not control his fear!!!

The Sallisaw police dept. have filed no charges on the Mother or anyone else at this time, they told Steve (the dad) that they could hold them for 72 hours without filing any charges and so far they have. Steve says there were no firearms or drugs in that house. Would the police be capable of planting evidence in order to cover their butts??? No matter how much evidence is produced, I don't know of ANY thing that could justify shooting an unarmed woman with a 5 yr old in her arms.

I pray for our country and the world to be rid of this satanic, ego driven evil.

FYI cop hater.

What I hate is people like you who villify those who speak out against unrestrained tyranny. You seem to feel that it's ok for those who collect a government pay check at the end of the week to terrorize, shoot, kill, and maime innocent men, women, and children. You really should move to Red China, I'm sure that they would have a place for you there. Then again, maybe you'd be too EXTREME for them..

I have no ill feelings towards the majority of men and women who serve as LEOs, as the majority of them ARE good people and DO care about human life. MANY of them are sick and tired of the direction where things have gone over the past several decades. MANY of them truly believe in the Principles that our Country was founded upon, and value the US Constitution.

It is people such as YOU that push us all closer and closer to a point from which there is no peaceful return..

FYI cop hater.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you're saying here. Are you saying that 61 year-old John Adams who was sitting down watching tv when shot and allowed to bleed to death was a "cop hater"? Are you saying that his wife who was handcuffed and forced to her knees was a "cop hater"? Or are you saying that the police information who gave the false informant was a "cop hater"? Please clarify your remarks, as they are quite ambiguous.

Since when is a camera not an eyewittness?

That wasn't the ONLY arrest that day. In fact, there were several around town, and several AT the dorm. This one was obviously outside, how about the ones that took place INSIDE?

And again, eyewitnesses at the scene DID witness guns brandished other than handguns.

What a great idea!!!!! Talk about turning the light of truth on in the kitchen full of liberal eliteists. I can think of a lot of colleges and universities that this needs to be done at. And this explains why so many of them have their own police departments so that they can police themselves.

Or are you saying that the police information informant who gave the false informant information was a "cop hater"?

Warrior Cops
The Ominous Growth of Paramilitarism in
American Police Departments

by Diane Cecilia Weber

Diane Cecilia Weber is a Virginia writer on law enforcement and criminal justice.

Executive Summary

Over the past 20 years Congress has encouraged the U.S. military to supply intelligence, equipment, and training to civilian police. That encouragement has spawned a culture of paramilitarism in American law enforcement.

The 1980s and 1990s have seen marked changes in the number of state and local paramilitary units, in their mission and deployment, and in their tactical armament. According to a recent academic survey, nearly 90 percent of the police departments surveyed in cities with populations over 50,000 had paramilitary units, as did 70 percent of the departments surveyed in communities with populations under 50,000. The Pentagon has been equipping those units with M-16s, armored personnel carriers, and grenade launchers. The police paramilitary units also conduct training exercises with active duty Army Rangers and Navy SEALs.

State and local police departments are increasingly accepting the military as a model for their behavior and outlook. The sharing of training and technology is producing a shared mindset. The problem is that the mindset of the soldier is simply not appropriate for the civilian police officer. Police officers confront not an "enemy" but individuals who are protected by the Bill of Rights. Confusing the police function with the military function can lead to dangerous and unintended consequences—such as unnecessary shootings and killings.

The article said the buys were near an elementery school. I do wonder if collage is included in the "school zone" policy, aparently not, or youd think they would have just made the buys on the campus.

I'm sure it has been going on for quite awhile. The change I have noticed is the schools now put more responsibility on the police. The school system used to handle the discipline, unless it was serious, and then they still had a hand in it. But now they seem to brush it all off on the police.

In the public schools we now have cops in school all the time. I talked to a cop who works one of our high schools. Last year he alone had over 90 arrests at one high school. Since school has opened this year I hear he has a couple arrests already.

What the answer is I don't know. I don't agree with using or selling drugs but I don't agree with confiscating a dorm either. I think the school ought to take care of business.

To close my fillibuster out, after I went to bed last night I turned on the local news. Seems an MTV crew went to the University of Akron to film one of their shows. Has something to do with what people will do for money. Anyway, the news showed a college girl eating cake off of a guys bare rump. What they didn't show was what I heard on the radio this morning. Apparently they talked a guy into eating some type of food that was shaped into a large penis.

I know there is alot of crap going on at colleges but I think this stuff should not be tolerated. No wonder college kids cant get jobs, everybody thinks they're a bunch of ignorant hedonists.

Naturally the news media was celebrating this activity.
