"The shocking revelation that bin Laden already has several suitcase nuclear devices – and may already have one positioned in the U.S. (Bodansky reveals why bin Laden hasn’t used these weapons yet and the clues that he is preparing to do so in the near future) "

Will someone 'ping' me if congress suddenly recesses and heads home?

They were NOT idle during that time: embassy bombings, USS Cole, plane bombings, etc.

Very true. However, they could be blowing things up every day as well. There's usually a gap of at least one year between events: WTC (1993); Embassy Bombings (1998); EgyptAir (1999); USS Cole (2000); WTC, Pentagon, (White House) (2001).

Exactly...he would have used them instead of 9/11 ariplane attacks.

What if he didn't get them until after 9/11?

bin Laden does not live for today.

Bin Laden does not live at all.

If they had working bombs they would have used them. Having their own state with a passport office, state airline, and the rest was a huge asset to Al Qaeda that took years to establish. To think they would sit back and let us destroy the Taliban and lose that without any response for nearly a year if they had the abilty to strike back simply defies credibilty. Certainly if they could have nuked a US city they would have. IMHO we have crippled AQ to the poing that they cannot attack now. No doubt they are trying to re-establish that capibility, but with thousands of suspected Al Qaeda arrested worldwide and many of their top people killed, it won't be easy for them.

I don't know about Bodansky's credibility; I do know that security folks should have realized after the 1993 bombing that the World Trade Center remained at the top of the terrorists' list (at the time, one engineering conclusion was that if the bomb had been just a few feet closer to a particular set of pillars, it would have brought down the North Tower so the intent of these murderers was known). Also, it was 1995 when they discovered the plot to hijack 12 US airliners in Asia and ram them into targets; why was so little done against a known plot? Rick Rescorla, the Vietnam (COMBAT) vet and director of security for Morgan Stanley in the Trade Center, had it right on target. He told NY Port Authority chiefs that Bin Laden would hijack a cargo plane and fly it into the Trade Center; their supposed response was that this was a crazy idea not worth worrying about. When the North Tower was hit, Rescorla required the evacuation of all Morgan Stanley employees in the 50/60 stories of the South Tower and of the thousands working there, all but six came out alive (Rescorla sadly among the latter).

The Jihadists need to be put on notice, now, that if any Jihadist nuke goes off in the U.S., Mecca will be turned to glass, no ifs, ands, or buts.

And if it goes off the the US .... the Middle East get glassed.

Bin Laden doesn't have the bomb ... he's worm food.

Who remembers the date of the embassy bombings?

Now, who remembers when the WTC crumbled to the ground.

There is no comparison to those feeble and far-away actions to actually striking America itself. By that token, Al Queda was largely absent from the American terrorist scene.

It's the psychologic and economic impacts that would be more damaging.

I agree completely. With some of Newsmax's latest articles I am about ready to put them in the same column as Debka.

To say that the terrorists are stronger now than before 9-11 is nonsense. Well, unless one thinks 4000+ dead or in custody, thousands of tons of munitions destroyed, millions of $ in assets siezed, spending months running from daisy cutters an special forces makes a group stronger.

As for the nukes, I think if they ever get one they will be falling over themselves trying to get it into Israel

They may have deteriorated (batteries, corrosion of moving parts, out of adjustment) and to arm them would require code keys.

Bingo. These suitcase nuke stories are total garbage.

Suitcase nukes use a tridium isotope if I remember correctly, They have to be replaced every 6 months or the things will not go off, they are so much radioactive garbage.

If they have a few of them, it doesn't do them a damn bit of good, the most they could do is run down the street and smack people upside the head with them.

You have to replace the tridium and without the tech to do so, they CAN'T!!

We have a Winner!

If they had it and it was functional...they would've used. Anything else defies "human" nature.

Please no witty retorts from the Black Helicopter coterie. He's dead and they're crippled...

...Now Saddam, that's another matter.

If say, Bin Laden's group blew one up in NY, LA, and Chicago... Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria would cease to exist as we know it. They know it.

I wonder about this all the time. Would we really go nuclear and turn the Islamic world into a smoldering radioactive ash heap? Or would the press and liberal activists emasculate any attempt at the kind of response those bastards so richly deserve?

It definitely wouldn't happen if Al Gore had stolen the White House in 2000.

They haven't been idle since 9/11 either! November American Airlines flight 587? still wont' convince me that wasn't a shoe bomber and then there was the shoe bomber that they managed to keep from detonating on that plane in December -

Highly irresponsible. Newsmax is using the lure of a nuclear scare to get people to punch in their credit card numbers and join a special "club."

Please remember: As a member of the Off-the-Record Club, you agree not to reprint or republish the material you hear on the tapes. These are the program's ground rules, allowing experts and VIPs to speak more freely and reveal more information than they would otherwise.

What kind of hooey is that? Yeah they'll speak freely and more revealingly only to NEWSMAX SUBSCRIBERS. As if the quoted source gives a rat who's a subscriber and who got his statement in email.
