A whole lot of clearing could have been done for 300 hundred million of our tax $'s.
If Carrie Okie was in charge or served as the chief consultant, most of this would have been done by the private sector, creating jobs and having a product at the end of each day that has a demand for it. It would cost us minimal taxes.
Now all of that timber has been destroyed and nothing of value will come from it.
This is so typical of the insanity pushed by the Watermelon Green Jihadists.

Thanks, but they couldn't pay me enough to take a job with the USFS.
I would rather do it working with local property owners, county commissioners, insurers, technical professionals, contract lawyers, and industry. We need to take the forest out of the hands of the Forest Service.

The private sector is the only way to go. They think it's some kind of sin for the government to make money off trees on federal land. Of course, they think that if the government gives them away it's a sin. Then again they think LOGGING AT ALL is a sin.....
I need more coffee.

Why on Earth would it cost tax $$$ to clear trees?
