Your right, who want's a dog who acts like a gator that might bite you at any time. But what you don't realize is that there are thousands of these dogs in the U.S. & yes Rottwielers & Pits are at the top of the lists of bad dogs. But 90% is an untrue percentage, I don't have the statistics because there is no way to know who owns what but I would bet that less than 1/2% of Rottwielers or Pits in the U.S. are involved with attacks. Not 90%. I didn't mean to imply that 90% of them are involved in attacks. I meant that 90% of the ones I saw in my various training classes should not be trusted around people. I base this on their behavior and the reactions of their owners and the instructor, who knows and loves Rots. This same instructor moved me and a few other people out of one class and into another because of all the nasty Rots in the first class. It was his suggestion, not ours. He also likes to tell the story about how he had to have part of his ear and finger sewn back on after trying to break up a fight between two of his Rots.

I see, so you are basing your assumptions solely on one dumb @ss k-9 instructors dogs that he shouldn't have had in a class full of people and other dogs. Listen I'm not being a smart @ss & I realize you have to draw a conclusion on what you've seen but think about what i'm saying. First off Rotts & Pits for the most part do not like other dogs, I agree with your assesment on that. But that doesn't necessarily mean they are a danger to humans. I admit that my dogs will get another dog if he wonders up to my house, but I live on 150 acres and a stray dog doesn't belong there. But quite frankly that's my dogs job to keep Coyotes & other dogs away from the cattle & my horses. They are not however aggressive towards people, will they bark when somebody comes up? Of course, what dog will not. Then they fall all over & lick whoever climbs out of the car, that's the god's honest truth.

It appears to me the instructors have a problem.
Dogs, being pack animals, can only have one master (alpha male/ you know like al wanted to be) the instructors are competing amongst themselves to be the alpha, hence one dog defends one and hates the other.
I would suggest a different set of instructors, they don't have a clue and are in fact dangerous.
