I see, so you are basing your assumptions solely on one dumb @ss k-9 instructors dogs that he shouldn't have had in a class full of people and other dogs. Listen I'm not being a smart @ss & I realize you have to draw a conclusion on what you've seen but think about what i'm saying. First off Rotts & Pits for the most part do not like other dogs, I agree with your assesment on that. But that doesn't necessarily mean they are a danger to humans. I admit that my dogs will get another dog if he wonders up to my house, but I live on 150 acres and a stray dog doesn't belong there. But quite frankly that's my dogs job to keep Coyotes & other dogs away from the cattle & my horses. They are not however aggressive towards people, will they bark when somebody comes up? Of course, what dog will not. Then they fall all over & lick whoever climbs out of the car, that's the god's honest truth.

The class had a lot of Rots, not those belonging to the instructor. They are fine dogs in the right atmosphere. If you need personal protection, then I would suggest a Rot. But, not allowing them off-lead in the class for fear of them tearing into another dog or ripping someone's arm off is simply crazy. Those dogs should be put down, because they are obviously out of everyone's control.
