The girls were raped and abused by family members before they were murdered. Assuming they reached the point where they knew right from wrong before dying, I find it hard to believe that they would be sentenced to hell for not finding Christ for He sure made such a discover difficult.

I find it hard to believe that the Living God won't find an especially warm spot near the furnace for the 'family members' who raped and abused them. I, for one, would take some free turns stoking the fires to keep the temp up. The 'death penalty' really doesn't cover it. "It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God." If they died in a church bus accident or even if they died suddenly but peacefully in church doesn't really matter. The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. If you don't know Him as Savior you go to hell when you die. Since none of us are guaranteed the next breath, maybe it's better to Accept Him now.
