You can be irritated if you want. Touche on your last sentence. But the bottom line is that over the course of the past year, having watched these children interact from age 4 to now 5, the ones that are the most unruly, out of control, snotty kids are the ones with extremely conservative SHMs. Not only that, the adjoining classrooms have these hellions too. Once again.....SHM's. If it appears I'm stereotyping SHM's, I'm not, I'm just defending the truth that often their children are more uncontrollable and bratty than children whose parent(s) both work. Why would I waste my time discussing this if I didn't witness it firsthand every Sunday? Please note I also paid them a compliment - these children are very smart. But they're brats and require constant correction. Your "aloof" example was a weak attempt to shoot below the belt. Besides, a 2 year-old and a 4/5 year-old are two different matters.

Your "aloof" example was a weak attempt to shoot below the belt. No, like you, I was only stating my "observations". Those children really did behave like they never received much attention. I don't know why you think I'm hitting "below the belt" with my comments, yet you claim your comments are simply "nonjudgmental". BTW, I'm not "irritated". Just trying to make a point. Hope you get it this time.

IMHO It boils down to parenting skills, not if someone stays at home or works... I have seen examples that have given support to both sides of this debate. But yes sometimes it's hard to ignore what seems to be a pattern when you do notice that certain kids act worse than others more than a few times...
