A man with an inoffensive weapon with fire decree with the airport of Heathrow

LONDON, August 27 (AFP) - a 27 year old man, in possession of a weapon with inoffensive balls, was stopped Monday with the London airport of Heathrow whereas it was on the point of taking a flight for Kuwait, one learned near the police force.
"It was stopped in the control field of the luggage", declared a spokesman of the police force. "We seized what would be a counterpart of a weapon with fire, able to draw with white", it added.
The man, who was stopped for possession of weapon with fire Monday with 09H15 Monday (08H15 GMT) and was always questioned in the evening, would be originating in the Middle East according to information's not confirmed by the police force.
A member of the personnel of safety of the airport of Heathrow alerted the police force after having realized that this man, who was on the point of assembling a flight of Kuwait Airlines, was in possession of a weapon with fire.
"Even before September 11, safety with Heathrow was one of best in the world", declared a spokesman of the airport. "It was the first to control 100 % of the luggage", it added.
"We had recourse to additional personnel" to deal with the number of the travellers of this long weekend of August, Monday being one public holiday in the United Kingdom ", it continued.
The spokesman of the airport was not able to say if the weapon had been found in a luggage intended for the compartment of the apparatus or the cabin.
