What Ever Happened To The "Millions for Reparations Mobilization?"....
August 26, 2002: My, my. After all that advance hype and build-up in the Washington Post, NY Times and various newsmagazines, hardly a word in the liberal press about the Millions for Reparations Mobilization -- the much-publicized march on Washington D.C. to demand reparations for contemporary American blacks (from the U.S. government) for the many ill-effects of slavery.
Not that it mattered to the liberal media that the key organizers or this event had, how can we politely say it, rather questionable resumes. For example, four of the outspoken organizers of the event -- Viola Plummer, Yvette Kelley, Coltrane Chimurenga and Roger Wareham -- were convicted 17 years ago on charges related to plotting a jailbreak in New York for two members of the Black Liberation Army who had been convicted of murdering a Brinks guard and two police officers in a $1.6 million robbery.
Another key reparations proponent, Ronald "Ron Karenga" Everett, was characterized by the ever-tolerant and non-judgemental Los Angeles Times as "a danger to society who is need of prolonged custodial treatment in prison," when he was convicted of assault and torture of two women in 1970.
And then there is of course the dean of rabid anti-semitism, Louis Farrakhans and his pal Jesse "Hymie Town" Jackson. Need we say more?
So how come we haven't heard more about the actual mobilization of millions of angry black citizens in the nation's capital? Well, perhaps because only 9,000 lonely losers turned up -- most of whom were probably the illegitimate children of Jesse Jackson hoping to scoff some reparations of their own from their promiscuous papa.
Obviously, the Millions for Reparations Mobilization wasn't quite the hopping success America's papers of record had been hoping.....

Fascinating...
"Millions for repeations" means that's how much the march orginizers made.
You replied: Go over to Zimbabwe and put an ad in the paper. You will get more slaves than you can feed.
Well, actually it was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but if you want to get serious here, I'd prefer a good Scots or Irish indentured servant to one of these Africans. At least they speak the same language (sort of), and they'll work hard all day and half the night, even tho' they be drunkards, as a lot... [joke mode OFF]
(For the humor impaired, I have Scots and Irish indentured servants in my family tree, but I never owned any blacks so I don't owe nobody NUTHIN'...)
I happened to be in D.C. visiting with a friend that day...forgot about this event scheduled for that day. We walked completely around the mall area starting about 5 p.m. There couldn't have been more than a 1000 people there, if that many. The unbelievable hate speech coming from the audio system was disgusting. For a brief while, all we could hear being shouted over and over was "FREE MUMIA ABU JAMAL, FREE MUMIA ABU JAMAL, etc." Then there were endless rants of how much black children are suffering and can't get quality education, yada, yada, yada...but of all that was complained about, it's because of the bad, old white man, who has consistently held the black man down (and I'm paraphrasing here).
Anyway, the mall was littered with trash/debri. What a waste.
Since you pay welfare, you ought to be able to drive up to the nearest strapping young welfare recipient in your pickup with chainsaw and axe and say, "Hop in the back, we're cutting firewood today." Fair definately is fair.
Like with kids, if you're compelled to feed 'em, you have a right to work it off of 'em.
