This very sad, but I'm glad the authorities found out what really happened. The psycho that did this crime deserves no mercy. There is no penalty harsh enough.

Sure was nice of the perp to want to give the families closure. Now, prosecute him and execute him.

Why, pray tell, (if you know) did it take them 7 MONTHS to be able to search this property?? Good grief!

I think the FBI agents "on" this case need to turn in their past 7 months' worth of paychecks - they haven't earned a dime. Ashley Pond handed them clues on a platter before she was even abducted, the suspect screamed "Yoo Hoo! Look at ME!" and they did ..... NOTHING!
To: IamHD
Perhaps they didn't have probable cause to search the property yet.

Tragic. Pointless. Heart wrenching.
Now onward to a very hollow, complete and ultimate justice!

Fantastic! This is unbelievable, to tell you the truth. The FBI agent said something to the effect that this is the first time that they have *legally* been able to search this property. What?? Something about everyone has constitutional rights, or something to that effect. Weaver didn't own this property, so why on earth didn't they get permission from the owner, back in JANUARY. What about probable cause??

THIS is why the Supreme Court was wrong to strike down the death penalty laws of all the states. THIS is why those states which have not reinstated the death penalty, should do so, over the opposition of the leftists. There simply ARE some crimes for which anything less than the death penalty is an affront to common morality and basic social norms. This "man" should receive, in the words of John Wayne, "a fair trial and a proper hanging."

the daddys murder in calif was committed in 1982. HE is still on death row.So when you consider the trial has been over for at least 18 years, almost makes the death penalty an oxymoron.Any Oregon Freepers out there? Does oregon have a death penalty and if they do.Is it like california where they hardly ever execute anyone?

Weaver's ex-wife told the authorities about (Ward) over 5 months ago. Oh, this makes me sick.

Ashley Pond said she had been molested by Weaver when she went on a family trip with him and visited his father on Death Row! No one listened....

This guy came out on National TV on a morning show a few weeks back, and said the media didnt know yet, but he was the FBI's prime suspect. He said he wanted the Nation to know he didnt do anything and the FBI was harrassing him. He said also that he wanted to help in bringing the killer(s) to justice.
They mentioned his prior investigations of molestation and he denied doing anything wrong, ever.
what caught my eye about this guy was that he mentioned that the girl who spent the night at his house all the time was without a dad and troubled and he was trying to fill a need. The way he said it made it sound as if he had assaulted her. He had guilt in his eyes.
WHY has it taken the FBI this long to lift the freshly poured slab of concrete (laid after the girls were missing) and even after the MOTHER of one of the girls left a note on the slab saying "DIG ME UP"? What the heck is wrong?
More crap from the land of "I'm OK, You're OK" Oregon.
They also are a haven to Al Queda fronts, which the State of Oregon stopped Ashcroft from coming in and inverstigating (see the $100 trillion lawsuit" thread on FR).

Ashley Pond handed them clues on a platter before she was even abducted, the suspect screamed "Yoo Hoo! Look at ME!"In what sense? Obviously I'm missing some details. Feel free to refer me to a thread, thanks. :)

I don't pretend to know all the facts of the case, and can't tell you why.
