I heard that some of the kids, when they saw what was getting ready to happen, ducked into KMart & made a quick purchase & were arrested when they went back to their cars.

Clever kids. LOL

But I don't have a problem with those teenagers getting into trouble. Whether they were purchasing something or not, it was still past curfew IIRC.

It's the people who were EATING and still got arrested that bothers me. Especially that couple who got to call their parents before being hauled in. But that could just be newspaper hype, too. Never know what to believe any more.

Possibly; however without some probable cause to believe those kids had actually been previously "trespassing" in the lot, this action was illegal.
