This story came out soon after the events of 9-11. Nothing new really. You are correct. I recall reding this in the forum but I will be darned if I remember exactly when and who posted it and under what title. It was definately about a year ago.

Still, all the Saudis have to do is grease George Bush Sr. palm with some cash and the problem will disapear thanks to George Jr.. You might want to investigate yourself......................
To: Reactionary
Yet with all the evidence many liberals still actually believe that Bush was somehow responsible for 9/11.
He didn't cause this mess but I hope he will provide the leadership to clean it up in such a manner that the next Dem president can't undo it.

Wanna be Secretary Of State/Defense? Thanks, blam. State, no problem. Many here on FR could manage that job, IMO. Defense, too big for me. Rummy's the man!

"We should be INVADING Saudi Arabia, confiscating their oil, and after prosecuting any terrorist sponsors that we grab, and after taking enough oil to repay our costs of 9-11 and the ensuing war on Saudi-inspired Wahabbi terrorism -- at least $1.5 TRILLION, we can negotiate the return of their country to a responsible government. Any neighboring countries that have a problem with this strategy get the same treatment." I like your style. Wanna be Secretary Of State/Defense?
LOL Great minds think alike!

Coddling the Saidi's? We should be INVADING Saudi Arabia, confiscating their oil, and after prosecuting any terrorist sponsors that we grab, and after taking enough oil to repay our costs of 9-11 and the ensuing war... More and more of us agree with you. Let it be so.

This news if true, is a disaster for the world.

Not only should we be taking over Saudi Arabia, we should be funding a revolution in Iran, and than use the bases we capture in Saudi Arabia to take over Iraq.
In all of this we should invite the British and Russians. Why? The Russians have lots of troops that need to be paid, oil can be exchanged to pay for them. Second it would move the Russians closer to the USA and away from China, Third bringing in the Russians would make any Islamic nation think twice about attacking the USA knowing that the two big boys on the block will crush them.
As for the UK, bringing in the British would piss off the rest of Europe. Bringing both nations would tell the rest of Europe WE DONT NEED YOU, you are only a minor league player! If all three nations take over oil fields we can share the wealth.
Also having a huge oil supply would make the Europeans (esp. the French) suck up to the USA.

I have only two words for an invasion of Saudi Arabia
"LETS ROLL!"
To: BlackJack
How so? If we have proof that they paid tons of money to Al Qeada, then they are "against us." Time to attack is just when they think we are going against Iraq. Take SA first, then Iraq, then Iran. With those three gone, every other arab nation aligns quickly or else.

"Take SA first, then Iraq, then Iran. With those three gone, every other arab nation aligns quickly or else." Iraq first. They are the only one of the three that can threaten us.
With Saddam gone, the other two are more likely to reform...or topple.

The United States respects the people of Afghanistan Saudi Arabia, but we condemn the Taliban regime House of Saud. The reason we deal with the House of Saud is because the people (those peaceful muslims) are more radical than they are--which is why their regime is considered so tenuous. I'm tired of people pretending that these radical muslim nations are occupied by largely peace-loving people who just have a handful of bad leaders.

Wait just a minute here......
President Bush has said on countless occasions that the Saudis are our friends, and that Islam is a religion of peace.
Yeah, the Saudis pay off bin-Laden, knowing full well the money will be used to terrorize the U.S.
Yeah, 15 of the 19 terrorist hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.
Yeah, our gravest enemy (bin-Laden) is a Saudi.
Yeah, the Saudis have told us that we can't use their air bases to launch attacks against Saddam, even though we saved their asses a decade ago from that particular Islamo-dictator.
But if Bush tells me the Saudis are our friends, that's good enough for me.

But if Bush tells me the Saudis are our friends, that's good enough for me.The Bush admin. has been putting pressure on the Saudis via our diplomatic corps for months. The Saudis have not moved and have apparently stiffened their positions.
Hense, the recent public pressure, and the building of a second control center in the area.
Bush's public words have no relationship to our private activities. I also note the lack of references about the religion of Islam in the past few months. Your critisism is not at all warranted.

I think the reason arabs are all unafraid to shoot off at themouth is twofold...
They all creamed their jeans over the killing on 9/11 and second... they have some big guns that they think we cannot withstand and survive.... they seem overconfident in their arrogance towards us.
Is it China? Is it that they possess deliverable WMD? Is it the alleged saudi NUKES?
Do they really think we are stupid enough to NOT know what is going on... apparently so. Are we too stupid to know what is going on, I actually doubt it. What we don't know, our friends the israelis, do.
that this is being told right now, is a lead up to something bigger.... as in, IRAQ is not the only, or even the next target... WHEREVER these arab "superbig" bombs or weapons, or secret backer "nations" like perhaps china or cuba, are, will be next... If that includes iraq, so be it. If not, we will keep whackin the leadership in the middle of the night, wherever we find them...
I guarantee you that folks behind closed doors, are spillin their guts, or have about what is going on... we KNOW, we are coming, and NOBODY on the bad guys team is safe... nobody.
That is why we wont let the guys at x ray loose, we don't want the bad guys to know who we got, because who we got, tells them a lot about what we probably know. There are some really big secrets coming down the pike...
This one was not a big surprise, that it has been leaked to us is very telling. we know, and they know that we know, and now, the american people know some of what our leadership has been sitting on for the last few months.
I bet some military and political planners think Saudi Arabia is in need of some new leadership... just guessing of course.
To: hadrian
so if we suck up to these gutless arab saudi scum we'll be free from 'saudi terrorism' because they'll be "our Friend" and won't bother to crash planes into our buildings eh?

My guess is that the Arab WMD that can do the most damage are bio in nature.
