The Invasion of Los Angeles
U.S. Census Bureau ^ | 08/24/02 | FreedomFriend

Posted on 08/24/2002 2:37:20 AM PDT by FreedomFriend

Given that the illegal invasion in California and much of the country has come from our neighbor to the south, and being the Mexicans are considered "Hispanic", I think that it is only fair to show general graphic displays of the invasion.

For the following pictures, you will need to know what each color represents. Thus,, here is the key.

1990
Beige 0.0%-16.6% Hispanic
Yellow 16.7%-33.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow- 33.4%-53.0% Hispanic
Olive Green- 53.3%-75.2% Hispanic
Forest Green- 75.5%-100.0% Hispanic

2000
Beige 0.0%-18.5% Hispanic
Yellow 18.6%-36.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow 36.3%-55.6% Hispanic
Olive Green 55.7%-76.4% Hispanic
Forest Green 76.4%-98.4% Hispanic

Check out the size and scope of the invasion as it has manifested itself over the years in the LA area, and compare each LA area from 1990 to 2000.

LA Central 1990

LA Central 2000

LA East 1990

LA East 2000

LA Southeast 1990

LA Southeast 2000

LA North 1990

LA North 2000

LA West/Far West 1990

LA West/Far West 2000

Given that the numbers are slightly differentiating, the contrast between 1990 and 2000 is somewhat weakened. However, despite the number variation, the contrasts can clearly be seen.

What I am telling you is that there is a viciousness frequently exhibited among those who count themselves "pro-Bush" that is neither a credit to the President, whom I still support despite some criticisms, nor to Free Republic.

I'll also suggest that similar viciousness would not be so tolerated without the Bush mantle. Not immunity, but a wider lattitude for misbehavior.

This perception exists in many corners throughout Free Republic, not entirely among those you might consider the usual suspects.

As for myself, I've never had a problem with the moderators, nor do I buy conspiracy theories that there are hit lists based exclusively on political positions. No one can get me banned or suspended but me.

I've only had one occasion where I questioned the validity of a suspension or banning. Those aren't the issue for me.

The issue is the extra inch here, or the benefit of the doubt there, that accumulates to a pattern of wider tolerance for abuse by some posters.

I'll get more and worse than that directed at me in a single thread.

Luckily, I speak fluent Oubangui, so it wasn't an issue.

Tooth, the despair and attention that follows an assignment to the cooler or an "86" is becoming weird. It's like a circle of people standing around sadly and reminiscing over road kill.

What did you think of Jim's post on #799?

Let me bring it up here...

"I explained that I thought the problem was not the immigrants themselves, but the liberal give away problems that are attracting them. Vote out the liberal Democrats and shut down the welfare and other hand-out programs and you'll automatically reduce a whole lot of problems, including the so-called flood of immigrants coming in for the freebies."

I basically agree with Jim, the Democrats are by far the larger part of the problem... unfortunately, there are too many Republicans that can't resist joining them.

The solution to the Illegal Alien problem, if it comes, will come from the Republicans, but only if many feet are held to the fire.

That's what most of the Illegal Alien threads are about.

Exactly. And you are one of the most civil of posters around, and even then one hears the cry of how you ought to be banned, apparently for civily and rationally challenging their arguments. Go figure.

The "Invasion of Metal" tour.

No, it's more like the mariachi/traditional band tour (with music actually inspired by the German immigrants to Mexico with their polka which most people don't realize, BTW).

I don't feel that suspensions are unwarranted, as far as I can tell, so I wail no lament.

I know that if I don't lose my cool and say something idiotic, my posting privileges are never in danger. Same goes for others.

Well, once again, vote out the deep liberal bias and the Congress automatically becomes more conservative. The less liberal the overall body is, the harder it will be for the moderate Republicans to pass their agenda. A large enough majority and the RINOs will be in big trouble unless they come around.

While I don't disagree, it occurs to me that if a RINO knows he can take my vote for granted, I no longer have any leverage with him.

However, if he knows that my vote is his to lose, he needs to listen a little more closely.

Might I ask a sidebar question?

If a poster appears on Free Republic who models himself after David Duke, he or she will be quite rightly banned.

Does the same hold true for a poster who adopts the tactics of Al Sharpton?

Ask yourself this question. Do you see any Dukes or Sharptons here?

The Dukes are thankfully weeded out very quickly. I believe Sharptons persist here and there.

Just for the record: who are the members of the "Gang of 4"? LOL. That "grlfrnd" screen name in San Fran was obsessed with the need to type that name. Sometimes she used "4", sometimes she used "Four". I think she used GO4 one time. I want in!

I don't know of any Sharptons. They usually get booted just as fast as the Dukes.

By the way, I don't know who your Congressman is (I've got Radanovich and I want to keep him), but I doubt you can be happy with Boxer, Feinstein & Co. Add Grayout Davis and a liberal/socialist/homosexual controlled state legislature and it's pure h-e-double-l hell.

With respect, see my post at #806.

Clinton Impeachment Acquitter and former professional tax collector Brad Sherman is the Congressman for us lucky folks of Sherman Oaks. We're gerrymandered to share a district with West L.A.

Barring some UFO abduction, I'll be voting GOP party-line as usual.
