Given that the illegal invasion in California and much of the country has come from our neighbor to the south, and being the Mexicans are considered "Hispanic", I think that it is only fair to show general graphic displays of the invasion.
For the following pictures, you will need to know what each color represents. Thus,, here is the key.
1990
Beige 0.0%-16.6% Hispanic
Yellow 16.7%-33.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow- 33.4%-53.0% Hispanic
Olive Green- 53.3%-75.2% Hispanic
Forest Green- 75.5%-100.0% Hispanic
2000
Beige 0.0%-18.5% Hispanic
Yellow 18.6%-36.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow 36.3%-55.6% Hispanic
Olive Green 55.7%-76.4% Hispanic
Forest Green 76.4%-98.4% Hispanic
Check out the size and scope of the invasion as it has manifested itself over the years in the LA area, and compare each LA area from 1990 to 2000.
LA Central 1990
LA Central 2000
LA East 1990
LA East 2000
LA Southeast 1990
LA Southeast 2000
LA North 1990
LA North 2000
LA West/Far West 1990
LA West/Far West 2000
Given that the numbers are slightly differentiating, the contrast between 1990 and 2000 is somewhat weakened. However, despite the number variation, the contrasts can clearly be seen.
There's the broad brush again, Arne.
As I understand your post, it boils down to this...
Illegals are untraceable and therefore uncountable, and since we don't know how many are here, they are therefore not really here. Since they're not really here, anyone who doesn't want them here is a secret anti-Mexican.
You live in a State unaffected much by Illegals. California isn't such a State. Are most Californians anti-Mexican? Most voted for Prop #187.
Was the El Salvadoran gal who was a legal immigrant that I dated a couple of years ago anti-Hispanic, because of the resentment she had toward Illegals? A couple of other ladies I dated last year wer Bulgarian and Egyptian Copt.
They held the same dim view of Illegals flouting laws they were working hard to obey.
The problem doesn't affect you, so you don't see a problem.
Any solution you come up with to a problem you don't see is therefore of questionable efficacy.
Not unlike the manic use of pinging a moderator every time one posts.
Here's the deal: These human beings have to eat, sleep in security and shelter, move around to do their thing, clothe and bathe themselves and have some human interaction with friends or family either here or in their native land.
They are either working somewhere or grabbing a check or voucher from fat-assed Phyllis, that bad-ad woman in County services noone has been able to fire or nicely ask for favors that are really part of her job ...
If this Illegal immigrant is working ... let's give him a temporary working visa to reside in the country legally. If he's not working, let's cut off his taxpayer lifeline. That taxpayer lifeline - to whatever number of illegals who can't support themselves independently - is the our great and oh so mighty target. If some undocumented guy is breaking his back planting trees 15 hours a day in 100 degree heat, let's get him a work visa to get him authorized and a gift certificate for a spa day at the Phonecian Resort as a lovely parting gift.
The guys and gals who are working, let's make them real and on the straight and narrow. Those that aren't, absent their medical care, housing consultant, social worker, community consultant, food stamps, interpreter, school liason ... all these people who pocket the 50% taxes you and I pay to our masters ... they'll go home. They're not going to go on a Bonnie and Clyde type crime spree to buy Carl Buddig Hamlike Meat. They will go back where they came from, and we'll help them to go there safely, and when someone chooses to sponsor them, we'll get them back here because America rocks!
The enemy is a well entrenched and difficult to eradicate welfare industry, and the Democrat pols who protect and feed them. They need to live "clobbering time" because they have put the security and economic stability of our country behind their political desire to maintain power and the control of ... oh ... $4 or $5 TRILLION of our tax money they distribute to that invisible crony economy that is breaking down our marvelous American structure.
The immigration challenge is a subset of a larger challenge to stop the anti-Amreican leftist elites in media, politics, academia and educaratic syndicates, and all the whore lawyers, consultants, diversity specialists, civil servants and their unions, trial lawyers, non profit bloodsuckers etc .... from tearing down the nifty masterpiece a bunch of cake eaters threw together two centuries ago.
Newly arrived immigrants, who are led to the public teat by "compassionate" Democrats, are simply a dangerous, if not captive, voting bloc to these ruthless bastards. They fear the Hispanics, because devout father of four Jaime attends Mass every Sunday, is planning to stay with his family, and is intent on raising his teenage daughters to live through their teenage years without a devestating pregnancy or medication. How do they sell to that kind of Latino? That's the issue here. We know what welfare poisoning has done to the African-American Community. Destroyed their families, communities and humanity ... repayed with 99% voting loyalty to those who destroyed them. The Dems want that 98 million bloc equally hopeless, helpless and on that bus pulling the lever starting with "D" every first Tuesday in November. Nuthin else matters to these demons, their entire criminal multi trillion economy of cronyism and patronage depends on their re-election to office.
FreeRepublic is on everyone's radar, and those who come here to post in violation of the forum's rules need to be closely scrutinized.
Nobody fears tangling with you guys.
By the way, I don't think you know a dad gummed thing about southern rock.
Yeah, I can name a few posters who fit that description, but the are probably not the same one's you are thinking of. Ahem.
Well, we all know who I was referring to who does that.
By the way, I don't think you know a dad gummed thing about southern rock.
Well, go start a thread about it in General Interest, and we'll see.
True --many are coming over legally and head right on over to the SSI office or some other welfare program. There can be a fine line between legal and illegal ---those coming over 8 months pregnant having a baby at taxpayer expense can use family reunification laws to be "legal" and on welfare, then they bring in all sorts of others who can't manage to work and end up being parasites. I actually prefer and have some sympathy for those who are only here to work, left their families behind in Mexico and send them money ---they are at least supporting themselves by working and aren't costing taxpayers nearly as much.
If this Illegal immigrant is working ... let's give him a temporary working visa to reside in the country legally.Sting operations at day-laborer sites or at no ID check-cashing locations.
Set up cooperation between the IRS and INS, so that when a fake SS# is identified on some employers rolls, the residence status of the employee is investigated. For years the IRS did nothing, now they're tipping off the employers and by extension, the Illegals using the fake numbers.
There are all kinds of ways to find them, and we don't have to find them all for there to be a deterrent effect.
Many will leave.
The enemy is a well entrenched and difficult to eradicate welfare industry, and the Democrat pols who protect and feed them. Are you throwing in airfare to Minnesota?
If the Illegal
immigrantalien is working, he's breaking several laws. When you allow him to change status, he counts against our immigration caps. That means that some law-abiding immigrant applicant doesn't get allowed into the country.Your plan rewards the Aliens we don't want at the expense of the immigrants we do want.
That's one enemy... the other is go-along, get-along Republicans who lack the fire to address the problem.
Newly arrived immigrants, who are led to the public teat by "compassionate" Democrats, are simply a dangerous, if not captive, voting bloc to these ruthless bastards. They fear the Hispanics, because devout father of four Jaime attends Mass every Sunday, is planning to stay with his family, and is intent on raising his teenage daughters to live through their teenage years without a devestating pregnancy or medication.Fair enough... how does appeasement solve the problem?
If you start handing out Amnesties because we don't have the will to address the problem or the manpower to keep them out, what do you expect the result will be?
What is the result any time lawlessness is rewarded?
More of the very same lawlessness.
Give Amnesty to Illegals and we will have yet more Illegals and an even bigger problem.
What will your solution be then?
If the Democrats truly feare Illegal Aliens, why are they dead set against every proposal to begin enforcing the laws against them?
What the Democrats actually fear is the Republican politicians will one day wake up and realize that they are on the right side of an issue and that the support of the American electorate is there for the taking.
The Dems bluster is all gas and no light, designed to cow the Republicans. Being tough against Illegals is a ballot box winner if the case is made without fear or apology. In the post-9/11 world, that would only be more certain.
This is a perfect time you to share your detailed understanding of the issue. How many illegallly resident Mexican nationals are in the United States right now? Where are they? How are they supporting themselves? How did they get here? When did they get here? What is the financial cost to taxpayers in benefits and entitlements provided to these non-residents. What's their name? Who's their daddy? Is he rich like me?
If you can't answer those questions, you don't have a clue what the real extent of illegal immigration is. Why don't you bitch about the new FDA testing procedures surrounding Upjohn's anti-rejection lung transplant drug? Or whine about the substitution progression when Boise State's football defense moves from a nickel to dime package inside the opponent 45? You'd have equally dismal credibility to present an informed opinion of those debacles in waiting.
Cover your damn head ... Incoming!!! ;^)
