Given that the illegal invasion in California and much of the country has come from our neighbor to the south, and being the Mexicans are considered "Hispanic", I think that it is only fair to show general graphic displays of the invasion.

Given that the numbers are slightly differentiating, the contrast between 1990 and 2000 is somewhat weakened. However, despite the number variation, the contrasts can clearly be seen.

I didn't say that everyone was accepted. What I said was that the textbooks are showing Middle Easterners, Hindus, and Asians as being the primary immigrant groups from America's past. That is not true. Furthermore, it is also untrue that there has never been a dominant culture. Thirdly, talk of America as having always been about diversity is also wrong. One more thing. If whites have historically represented 85-95% of America's immigrants, why would a textbook, focusing on America's history, picture only one white person out of twenty or so people?

If everyone in our country was very well off, then I wouldn't mind having illegal immigrants.

However, there are many citizens that are very needy. Our country has lots of problems that need to be fixed before we start giving away money to illegals.

The other thing that is going on is that the rise in illegal immigration is causing a rise in infectious diseases. My daughters got very sick of a respiratory illness (RSV) when they were 6 weeks old. The doctors told us to definitely immunize against whooping cough because so many people have it now. Also, TB is on the rise. It's very scary!

,P. None of the things that you suggest are politically sustainable. In order to survive into the next century the GOP will ave to pander and sellout to hispanics of mexican persuation or they will no longer be a viable party in the enxt fifteen years. Simple demographics. Even if immigration were halted today white European caucasians will be a minority by 2040.

A simple reality is that for the rest of the century we will be stuck with a permanent democratic administration that will give up our socvereignty to a supranational United Nations dominated by non-caucasian countries, many which will include European countries such as the by then Islamic British Republic.

That is where we are headed. The only solution is for Americans of black and caucasian persuation to up their birth rates. But that is not going to happen we're too comfortable living la vida loca from day to day. We can't be botehred having children as they get in the way of our comfortable lifestyle.

Besides, feminists see preagnancy as a cancerous disease that can only be cured by abortion. Laws currently have criminalised fatherhood and imposed hefty penalties to the male that actually fathers a child with extortionist child support laws.

Our economy is going down the tubes as we lose manufacturing jobs on a daily basis to slave labor in China. the myth has been craeted that we will be an information economy producing only information and intelelctual property goods. By 2050 the only planes we will be able to manufacture for our air force will be paper airplanes and styrofoam ships for our navy.

The reality is that we are doomed. We are all too busy watching television and trying to figure who slept with who and whether Clinton has a new girlfriend to give a damm.

When a rubber band gets stretched it generally snaps. Empires usually meet violent deaths as was the case with Rome. We are headed the same way. Ironic isn't it, Rome began dying when it allowed barbarians to settle on the italian peninsula. Roman emperors taxed the italian peasant to death and stopped supporting the empire. the patricians became corrupt and the plebeians no longer gave a damm.

The US is becoming a rerun of a bad movie.

You make many valid points here, but you are incorrect that Whitey becomes a minority in 2040 without additional immigration. in fact, Whitey is projected to become the minority in 2050 WITH expected immigration patterns. Take such patterns out and it wouldn't happen until probably 2200. Look at the overall numbers today, and compare the birthrates which in America are not that disparate between races (as opposed to Europe where the Mohammdeans breed like flies_).

Putting aside the traffic, the dirty little secret is that Los Angeles is a great place to live. It is a true international city, and fascinating, and energetic, and real estate prices reflect that. I lived for 6 years in a neighborhood that was about 40% Hispanic, and never had any problems. The old neighborhood looks ever more gentrified ever time I revisit it. In fact much of the city looks better than it did 10 years back. And I am glad I retained my real estate holdings there.

I don't think it came from Hollywood. I heard my friends use it 10 years ago, and that's how things start. It gets slangy, people start using it, then Hollywood hears of it years later. Yes, I know it's derisive, but imho, not all the people enrolling in schools with their so called *children* are the actual parents, therefore, I used Parental Units.
