9-11-02 would be dramatic and redefine that date, every year after. Right now, 9-11 is now going to be 9-11. If we launch an attack on that day, a year later, and succeed, at least we can add that to the passing of 9-11 every year.

Saddam didn't cover up the murder of Abu Nidal because he wants the world to know about it. By making it clear that he's disowning any ties to terrorism, he's trying to make it more difficult to launch an attack on him. But the fact that he feels the need to do that shows that he's panicked.

Here is an article with the reference to 4 bullet wounds...
Bush speaks...
I found it interesting that they said he committed suicide with four bullet wounds to the head, so I'm not exactly sure how he died," Bush commented.

If this isn't dis-information, he needs to be shot. Although it just occured to me... what message would we be sending if say... if we invaded iraq on 9/11 2002. Makes you go hmmmm....

Abu Nidal was a Palestinian terrorist. The Palestinians lost the war for their homeland to the Arab nation of Jordan in the September, 1969 war.
The Palestinians call that war "Black September".
To avenge their loss to the Jordanian Army, the Palestinians formed the Black September terrorist group.
The Black September terrorist group specialized in hijacking airliners.
In September of 2000, a Palestinian flew his rental aircraft into a twin-engine Cessna aircraft in Florida.
In September of 2001, at least four American aircraft were hijacked and flown to their demise in at least three targeted buildings.
And now we see the 2nd most powerful Palestinian terrorist getting taken out.
Arguably, it's easier to execute an assasination operation PRIOR to the commencement of a large scale war.
Frankly, I'd take those above facts and combine them with the possibility that Iraq's harboring of Abu Nidal could get them implicated in 9/11 activities if it can be shown that Black September was responsible for 9/11. Then I'd weigh all of the above to calculate the probability that an attack on Iraq was a certain percentage more likely with each passing month...

This is classing "flushing the quail"
We have to have half of our satellite fleet hovering over Iraq right now, looking at Saddam's troop movements, arms placements, anything that is out of the ordinary.
Right now, were I Saddam, I wouldnt know what to think, from reading the NYTimes, versus listening to the administration, which is great.
If Saddam reacts to any of this, we will know how, where and when, exactly the information we will be feeding into the computers inside the first wave of Cruise Missles that will be heading that way soon enough.

Saddam knew we were on our way on 9/11

Bush is a sneaky man....he may have found a way to get Saddam out without even firing a shot. If he can do this in a stealth manner, go for it. If anybody can manage to do so, it is this President.

"doesn't seem like Bush is in any hurry"
A lot of people on both sides of this think Bush has already made up his mind and an attack is a foregone conclusion. I'm not sure that's true. Isn't it possible that he's being doing what he says he's been doing, i.e., exploring the options? Michael Kelly wrote a column the other day criticizing Bush for not countering the "don't attack" crowd, but why should he if he hasn't made up his mind yet? If Bush is genuinely exploring alternatives, it would not be proper for him to be publicly taking one side or the other.

Well, since there isn't a "Bush Jr.", that's not a possibility. But even if he was a "Jr.", his father wasn't a "shoo-in" and that's not what he would use the power of his office for regardless.
